This and That Friday Night Sew In

Last night was Friday Night Sew In.

I sewed a bag for my friend's wheat pack, some siggy blocks
and 10 more QAYG blocks.

Even though I have now made 17 projects with my Strips I still have not put much of a dent in my pile of strips.

  2. Gosh---ISN'T that true?!?!?! It's quite amazing what can be created with strings! And it's even more amazing that all that fabric gets thrown away by some quilters who don't REALIZE what all can be made!!

    Love the pic!

  3. Good job! I missed another FNSI, and really must get back in the groove. I do have a project in mind to use up some of MY strips, and I'm going to work on it today.

  4. Maria - I love the 'christmas tree' in your border. It is so you.

Friday night sew in really accomplishes a lot - maybe that's what I need - a forced deadline.

    Hugs - Marie

  11. Hi Maria
You have some beautiful projects ! I agree with you about the left-over pieces. I hate to throw any away. Last Winter I cut up my knit scraps and made two soft pillows for two of my pooches and they really did enjoy them. They act kind of like a bean bag pillow and they can dig and root around in them and get comfy like we humans do. :)

I was tickled about your sewing projects because when I was working on something 3 nights ago I thought of all you "quilters" because my rotary cutter sure did not last long at all and I wondered how in the world do you all keep your blades sharp or do you just go through a bunch of them

I even saw a couple of those blade sharpeners and I wondered how good they were? I just hate to throw these blades away ?????
