Quick Trip and Beautiful Gifts...

Went to the big smoke for a crazy few days doing some shopping and going to my GD 2s dance concert.....

On the way I saw this guy flying through the bush being pulled by Kangaroos.....

Taken on my way to Perth.
It's fun to see what our farmers do to decorate at the festive season.

A few weeks ago a huge box arrived in the mail , I knew I hadn't ordered anything so was surprised to receive it. Was delighted to see it was sent by Helen, Sandy and Nor , some of the Sunday Stitchers Friends.

Filled to the top with gifts, how exciting.........

Just look at all of the goodies......

Helen's cute Xmas Bag had a lovely little felt needle case that now live in my handbag and a lovely handmade card with candy canes..

Inside Sandy's pretty drawstring bag was lots of beautiful gifts she has made, also a scissors fob, scissors and  gorgeous christmas button...

Oh and a box of chocolate scorched almonds that DD and I have already opened. NICE!!!

Inside Nor's pretty gold christmas box was a lovely fabric bowl filled with yummy toffees with soft centres and the cutest little chrissy tin filled with shortbread . The tin will be good to pop in some Hexies when travelling....

Ladies you blow me away with all your thoughtful beautiful gifts.... THANK YOU HEAPS,  XXX

Last FnwFs for 2019...

I was trying to post this morning before my dip but for some reason my photos just wouldn't download... Thankfully internet is being better tonight....

Even though Cheryll is often travelling all over the world she still gathers us together each month for our SAL.. with friends from near and far......

Yesterday I had a very early start as I had two quilts that I HAD to post to Jan over in Victoria to donate ..

This one only needed the binding attached...

then I finished the quilting on this one and bound it...

Both completed and in the post......

and in the evening I trimmed the first clue of  Bonnie Hunter's Mystery " Frolic "

and cut and made clue two.....

Didn't take long as I'm only doing a quarter size first......

then some Secret Sewing....

Huge Thank You Cheryll and look forward to our FnwFs  again next year...

Must away now and see what others did HERE.....

Happy Stitching

Hugs  Maria  😊

The Week that Was!

Another week has disappeared and only a few days left of this month too!  Each morning I join my friends to go for a dip.

First we all fill our little buckets sew we can wash the sand off our feet before getting in our cars after our dip....

It's been beautiful the last few days but a little cold when we first get in.

On Thursday we enjoyed a cuppa at the Seaside Cafe before one of the ladies go on holiday.

I have been trying to finish the last UFO Challenge for  Sunday Stitchers ... I'm doing the buttonhole applique after I've sandwiched the wall hanging . As it slow close work I seam to be going cross eyed

sew I'm  also quilting a Kids quilt to send over East as its just straight sewing...

and in the evenings I've been doing a little stitching on one of Michelle's lovely free designs she's kindly shared with us....

as well as doing some secret Christmas stuff...

OPPS !!!!
Look what was in hubby's pocket when I washed it....
Do hope they aren't the wining Nos on Saturday as I don't think we can claim it...

Have you noticed this new linky on the right of my sidebar ?
Cheryll starting a challenge next Year to help us finish our UFOs and even though I'm in OPAM and Sunday Stitchers Challenge I can always do with more folk to push me along to get UFOs done...
Do pop over HERE to join Cheryll ....

Must away as it's time to pick up hubby ....

Happy stitching,

Hugs Maria 😊

Will send it to the ladies tomorrow who are collecting for the folk who lost all in the Qld/NSW fires...

and join the ladies at the craft shop for a few hours this morning who are knitting, crocheting and sewing to also send over East..

These are the blocks I made and put together'
Another lady will quilt it...
