OPAM Finishes for Sept and FnwFs...

 This weird year is slipping by quickly and it's the end of the month and time to join  KRIS at Tagalong Teddies  and post our finishes.. 

Even though I sew most days I haven't had many finishes but I am delighted to have 'Trail Mix done.......

I quilted a wiggly line down the small white blocks and stippled the rest but when I took a photo of the back I realised I had missed a section. All done now.

Also have some shields done for  " Days for Girls"

and as it's the first Friday of the month it's time to pop over to Cheryll's blog and sign up for   

Thank you to both Kris and Cheryll  for getting us organised to keep stitching...

Must away to organise some projects to take along to our SAL outing tomorrow with the Patch ladies...

My WOOFA progress for Sept...

 For my WOOFA project with Cheryll I'm working on   "Urban Owls"  I started this quilt because it has many blocks to challenge me 

Over the past few months I've made the center block , the flying geese border , three Ohio Star Blocks . both Houses blocks and the two Queen of May blocks. So next was the foundation piecing ones and they are now done ..... All three 

Next I'll make the other three Ohio Stars..

Must away and pop the kettle on for a cuppa.

I did it !!

 My first ever Foundation Pieced Block....

It's a little wonky but I'm pleased with it...

Block 2 is better .. I don't think I'm hooked on FP  but the points look great.

It's a long weekend here in the West and the start of the school holidays so its very busy in our seaside town so

I must away and meet my friend for our Saturday Lunch before all the tourists take all the tables , Hahaha..

FNSI for Sept 2020

As it's the third Friday of September already I'm pleased to have joined Wendy for FNSI ..... 

I decided to put together my next WOOFA block and then get back to quilting Trail Mix....

ONLY I didn't realise that it would take me all night to get this frustrating block done......

It's not perfect but its' done......

Thank you  Wendy for keeping me going and hope alls going well with hubby. Hugs.

 

I'm not looking forward to the next block... Foundation Piecing GRRRR!

Blocks , blocks and more blocks......

 I was tired of quilting Trail Mix so decided to catch up with my blocks....

First I made my RED Sisters for RSC  

Then the Aussie Hero Blocks 

All packed ready to post plus tea bag strings for Jo.

Then onto my WOOFA  challenge block......

After LOTS of reverse stitching and then some fudging I finally got this block done...... Now I need to make another one similar.....  Wonder if it will be any easier.... Urban Owl blocks sure are starting to challenge me .

On to something more fun,  the Toni's Paper Dolls.

and last but not least is one of the two blocks I need to complete for "Sunday Stitchers Challenge" No 10...   Lynette Anderson's "Anderson;s Farm...

 

Lacy seems to think there's something interesting hiding under my sewing cabinet.??????  

Must away now to go into town for some shopping.

FnwFs for Sept.

 Last night was the first Friday of  September and that means it was time to enjoy an evening with Cheryll and friends for FnwFs .  I always enjoy these evenings as it encourages me to get organised .

This week I got my "Trail Mix" under the machine to quilt.

After spending some time stippling my shoulders needed a rest sew I picked up my Christmas stitchery and watched Friday Night Movie "The Butler"

Thank you Cheryll for helping me get "Trail Mix" started....

Must away for my Saturday lunch with my dear friend.....
