Embroidery, Pelican and FNSI.

Last weekend I attended an Embroidery Workshop.. I can't believe how little we seam to have done but how much we did learn...

Here is what I achieved over the two days....

I'm glad that there are called "Wonky Houses" as they surely are...LOL.

On Tuesday as I drove past our swimming hole I saw this lonely fella sitting on the rail at the end of the boardwalk... Thought I'd get some photos for my friend Sunny.

He let me get up really close to him

You can see the ocean in the distance were we swim when it's warmer..

Up Up and Away...

I hope he;s off to find some of his friends as he's been here on his own for awhile now...

As it is the third Friday of the month tomorrow night don't forget to sign up for FNSI with the lovely Wendy for a fun night of sewing with our online friends.. You can pop over HERE to join in...

Time to do some stitching...

Trip to Perth and OPAM

Last week I went to the Big Smoke . On the drive down there was road works sew there was a lot of loose gravel on the verges. As a truck passed me it through up a stone and "Charlie" was wounded...Grrrr!

DD and I enjoyed shopping as there was a fabric store that had a Sale ..I only purchased some nice backing fabrics that had 30% off but DD come home with much more...

On Saturday we went to the Craft Fair to meet up Anthea from Hibiscus Stitches . First we enjoyed a coffee while catching up and it was lovely to have Loni from Fireflies and Cats in my Garden and her hubby Mark join us too.

Love what the bar-roster did. A swan. Very clever.

I only purchased some rotary blades , Monofil and some applique paper...

You can pop over to Anthea's Blog and see some lovely quilts as I didn't take any photos...

Even though I have been busy this month working on different project I only managed one finish for OPAM.... thanks to Kris and Peg

My Foxes....

Love the Stripey Binding

and the backing...

I was hoping to also finish my Candle Mat but didn't find the right buttons yet even after hunting in different places in Perth...

Lots of Photos and FNSI..

Where have the past 12 days gone ???? Each day I plan to sit down and write a post but it just doesn't happen . Sew I'll show some of the things that have keep me busy....

Making "pinwheels" for the Foxy quilt by Toni from Red Boot Company

I've been painting the a small section of the green eves most days....

slowly getting done !! Then I need to attack the yellow....

Went to town last Thursday to have my car serviced and into Spotlight to buy a zip for a secret project..

Don't know how that fabric got into my bag, could have something to do with it being on special. :)  The spot only $4 a miter, Dinosaurs $2 and the Polar Fleece 40% of normal price....

also bought a new bucket to use when I wash

            "Charlie"

Saturday  the Geraldton Patchwork Ladies invited clubs from surrounding areas for their annual "Mother's Luncheon" ... Was a lovely afternoon with lots of food chatting and show and tell..

Was great to see the groups quilt display and the finished " La Province quilts...." by Bonnie Hunter hanging together.

Monday was a trip to the Vets as poor Lacy ripped her claw chasing the ball...

It's all better now and shes running again but we'er not throwing the ball for awhile.... (too expensive)

I managed to finish the pinwheels and sew them onto the quilt and then I discovered I didn't have enough backing ... Oh No! not another 170 km round trip to Geraldton  so I asked DH would he drive me in. I did buy him a nice coffee and cake.  :)

Foxy Backing.....

Ah!!!!!

Well they were $4 a mtr......

on way home I went to the post office there was a parcel from Craft Depot....

Love stripes for binding and thought the top one will be perfect for my Foxy Quilt and I needed the cotton and pen....

Now if you stayed long enough to read to here don't forget to sign up for our fun night sewing with lovely  Wendy  ...................I'm sure I can find something to sew along with you all....

Happy Stitching
