The Month that was and OPAM....

 In last Sunday's post I showed you the two blocks I had crocheted around and now there are four.....

When I went into the box to get out the next row of blocks to sew around and bag before I can crochet them, I discovered they weren't in the correct rows so I spent an hour or so sorting them out....

Now I will mark each block and pin each row securely together....

Had fun doing block two of Toni's " Who's at the Zoo"  pattern...

I'm happy to have also finally quilted "Fabric Fusion" which was pinned at retreat in mid June...

I like to sew away the threads as I go to save time after...

The binding was ready to be sewn on,

and finish No 1 for OPAM  with the lovely KRIS. 

 

Finish No 2 is another community quilt for Patch..

It has really cute backing .......

Must away and get ready for bed.......

WOOFA Challenge for August

 I'm pleased that Cheryll gives us a gentle shove by putting up a link for the WOOFA challenge each month. 

I continued quilting "Urban Owls" I did three blocks but it's slow going... 

 

It's hard to see what I've done as I use matching threads for each section....

I'll keep working on it and eventually it will be finished ....  ( :

Must away and pop the Kettle on....

Thinking of all who are in lock down. Stay safe , well and hopefully some time for crafting to make you happy.

FNSI and Zoom GTG

 As it was the third Friday of the month it was time to sign up with the lovely Wendy and friends for FNSI... Don't forget you can pop over HERE to see what others have worked on and you may like to sign in next time 

Even though I have MANY projects I need to work on to get finished I just haven't had the drive to do so ..... BUT when I saw Toni from Red Boot Quilt Company's new pattern I sent for it and for FNSI sewing traced and blanket stitched the first block......

Toni's patterns always make me happy and it's fun digging through the stash to make each block..... Now on the next one !!! 

Yesterday , after my trip to town for coffee with Jeanie , I joined in with Chooky and friends for the ZOOM GTG she had invited all to join......It's really great to catch up with ladies from the other side of Aussie and the world while we chat and stitch/crochet/knit etc........

I managed to crochet around another block so now only have 23 to go......

Big thank you to Wendy , Chooky and all the ladies for making my weekend fun ....

FnWFs for August 2021

 Can you believe it's AUGUST already and time to have fun sewing along with Cheryll and Friends for our FnWFs.

First I cut a pile of wadding for my new project.

Then sewed more together to make up the  25 I needed,

 next started sewing some squares 

Now to learn how to crochet around the squares and then join them ?????

I think this is a long term project.

I noticed on the calendar it's only 17 weeks till Christmas so I did some more secret sewing before calling it a night,

I hope all are keeping well and safe especially those in lock down.

Must away now and get some brekky......
