This and That.
On the way home a cray boat was being taken to dry dock.
I did not realise how big
they are.
DH and I went to town this afternoon and I just had to get some of these.
I needed the whites and cotton. The others because I love them.
Lovely spots,stripes and panels.
They will make great kids and charity quilts.
When checking the mail I found this.
and I received THREE
squishes.
My lovely Swap
Block from Leona USA.
Beautiful Mug Rugs from Jacqueline all the way from The Netherlands.
How cute is that OWL!!
My DD2 sent the scissors and unpics to pop into the sewing kits for the Qld Flood folk.
Thank you to the ladies for my great parcels. Love them all.
Sorry about the big spaces but this post had a mind of it's own???

Friday Night Sew In
Tonight I managed to get Cat’s flimsy sandwiched and quilted. Also got the binding done.
All ready to be donated for a special little girl.
Now I will get back into the sewing room to make more of these.
For a quilt I have been working on for over a month. Hope to have the top put together soon ready for me to quilt. Then taken to it’s new home.
Happy Stitching Friday Night Sew In Ladies.
Looking forward to seeing what you have all been working on.

Busy Weekend.
I have been having fun this weekend sewing.
Saturday I went to Patch and helped put together two quilt tops for Charity from the blocks we made last year.
I forgot my camera so can’t show what we did with these .
Today, when I went for my swim with my friends the river mouth broke through and look what happened to our lovely beach.
Hope it does not take too long to clear so we can go to our favourite place again to swim. Will check out South Beach tomorrow, were I walk, maybe we can swim there.
This afternoon I finally put together Robyn’s February Hearts sew along top. This is what I have done so far.
I am going to make it into a lovely cushion.
Robyn is inviting us to join her in a Show and Tell Parade.

Saturday Again !
Where has the week gone??
We did spend 4 days in the Big Smoke.
Before going I managed to make two sewing kits for Gum Tree Design Flood Appeal 2011.and get them in the post.
Remember if you can help it would be appreciated.
While in Perth I just HAD to buy a few nice things.
Enjoyed a visit with DD2 and youngest GC but it is nice to be home again.
When I checked the mail and I was delighted to receive all these lovely letters and parcels.
My special Angel from Cat because she cares.
A pretty stitchery and FQ I won at “As Sweet as Cinnamon”
My block swap and needles from Gai and Christmas Block from Linda in USA.
Thank you so much Ladies for my goodies.
In the top left corner is a Goat I need to work on before sending her on. Her owner may read my post.
Oh almost forgot to post about our
“ Red Hatters “ 3rd Birthday Party. We had a “Teddy Bears Picnic” at the Marina.
We brought along our favourite Teddy and made outfits for them.
We also made our own placemats.
Had lots of Yummy food and then it was time to cut the cake.
Isn’t he just so cute!!

My 200th Post
Over the past 11 months I have written 100 posts. In that time I have joined Stephanie at Loft Creations in the Stripy challenge. It was a great way to use up scraps.
I also signed up with Peg and Kris at OPAM and finished lots of UFO’s as well as making many new quilts, stitcheries, toys, bags and cushions for our Hanging.
Round robin.
Row by Row
“The Thong” quilt.
I needed one block to complete my quilt so a blogging friend from the USA made the blue pair for me.
These three quilts were projects I did with the ladies in our "Patch" group.
Finally finished “Breaking the Drought” a workshop done with Lisa Walton
Tackled my DD2’s Bargello
and a little one for the family’s latest addition.
and there are just so many more I got finished.
I had fun doing FNSI’s every month. Swaps with Michele at Quilting Gallery.
Also joined in many fun challenges and swaps with lots of blogging ladies.
BUT the best post of all would have to be this one.My Beautiful GGD Alexis.
For my 200th post I have decided NOT to have a giveaway .
Instead I am going to make a donation to the folk who need our help after enduring either fires, floods or cyclones in recent weeks in Aussie.
