My Little Jelly Roll Quilt.....

Last Saturday was National Jelly Roll Day   and as I had a small Blue and White one in the cupboard thought I'd join in and make a small baby quilt. After sewing three strips together I cross cut them into 6 1/2" squares ... I tried several different lay outs and wasn't happy with any. As it was a beautiful sunny day I decided to go out on the ride on for a few hours and mow the block.....

After my walk on Monday I sewed the blocks together, quilted yesterday and today I attached the binding....

I am happy with this cute little boys quilt now...

Last week the bundle of "Garden Life" by Tilda arrived which I bought to make a table runner for a lady at Patch who will have a special 0 birthday soon.

After seeing a table runner  made by Anorina at Samelia's Mum blog using the Kawandi style I've wanted to try that Technic. Thought this nice soft fabric would be good to use..... Wonder how I'll go?????

Must away and bring in the washing,

Thinking of all in lock down, keep safe and well.

FNSI with Wendy and friends...

As it was the third Friday of the month yesterday it was time to join Wendy and friends for another enjoyable FNSI ....

I made an early start in the afternoon and cut enough blocks from my stash to make a baby's Floor Rug/Mat so after dinner I got to and sewed

and sewed till the flimsy was done and got it sandwiched and pinned .....

I then continued with quilting it , just cross hatched and also found a suitable binding which I got ready ....

This morning I sewed it on and Taa Dah !

The Floor Rug/Mat is done , it is 37" square.....

Thank you Wendy  for once again organising us for our Fright Night Sew In

Before doing this post I found a small Jelly Roll so tomorrow I am joining the folk in the Northern Hemisphere for

Guess there's a day for everything but I thought it would be a fun way to get and sew a simple Baby Boys quilt.....

anyone wish to join in ???????

Well must away and publish this post.......

Keep safe and well my friends.

Hugs  Maria ❤

I made and posted this months BOM for Aussie Hero's Mystery Group .....

The lady requested it to be a wall hanging for her sewing room when complete.
Hope she'll like my sewing themed hexies !!!!

I've also traced some more Aussie animals ready to applique and finished some more crochet around my blocks...
Sorry no photos as I'm finding blogger is being hard to get on with today 😢 . Oh! also has anyone else noticed that some of the faces of our followers have gone blank !!!

FnwFs and a Zoom GTG.....

Last night I joined Cheryll for FnwFs and enjoyed making three blocks for "Land Down Under" designed by  Toni from Red Boot Quilt Company

They only need their eyes and nose appliqued but I'll do them when I've done the rest of the blocks and I traced some more before going to bed..

Don't forget to pop over HERE to see what others ladies have worked on..

Thanks Cheryll for another productive evening....

This morning I joined Chooky , who organised a ZOOM GTG for a few hours...It's lovely to chat with ladies from all over the world while doing some stitching,

I completed the two rows of crochet on my next block.....

Later in the afternoon I zoomed around the block on the ride on to some mowing...

Must away now and publish this blog.....

Stay well and hope you enjoy some crafting....

Hugs  Maria ❤
