OPAM for February.....

Well I finished my Pinata Quilt this morning, just in the nick of time to post for this month's OPAM with the lovely Kris........  Don't forget to post your finishes, update your side bar and email Kris....

This quilt was my No 8 UFO challenge for "Sunday Stitchers " is made out of my scrap box and I also joined lots of bits of bindings left over from other quilts to bind it....

Was delighted to have picked up  my Lynette Anderson's "Seaside Town " from the quilters sew on the binding and have it finished and hung on our wall this month....

there were a few 1 1/2" squares left and as it was one of swimmers birthday and who is also a Patch lady I made her these.

Back..........

and front. Small Pincushion and Needle Case to pop in her bag for hand sewing.

and the "PINK " quilt . It is not one of my favorite but I'm sure it will be loved by someone.......

Where oh where

has another week gone ?????  it just disappeared again !!! Have been going for my dip with the girls each morning but haven't done much sewing....

thought I'd show you all our bags with our little buckets filled with water lined up on the beach....

we wash our feet before getting into our cars, that way we don't take home piles of sand....

I like the tracks in the dunes from the tiny crabs.....

NO 12 was the next number drawn for our "Sunday Stitchers " challenge sew I have it ready to work on today .......

Retreat, FNSI, Threadology , Bloom and More.........

What a fun filled weekend ..  DD arrived about 1pm on Friday sew we were able to sit and have a nice cuppa and chat before heading off to our retreat.....It was fabulous to join Wendy and my online friends for FNSI as well as my Patch ladies and DD...

after setting up in the hall I got to work sewing my No 8 Sunday Stitchers Challenge the   "Pinata"   blocks which took till Saturday morning ....

Next the Bloom Blocks organised by Cheryll for the Bloom Block Party......

as I had prepared the blocks ready for applique and had plenty of time I did four and joined them onto the top row.

Today with help of  DD and friends I got my  Pinata flimsy sandwiched and pinned ready to quilt...
as well as doing the second set of blocks for Threadology

One large and four small 9 Patch blocks..... I do hope there are no mistakes this week....

After a very busy weekend sewing chatting and eating plenty of food it's time to THANK ALL the ladies who organised the retreat weekend.    WENDY  for FNSI ,   Cheryll  for The Bloomers Party and the  SAL with the Fat Quarter Shop for Threadology......

Must away now to put my feet up and relax...

Happy Stitching ...

FnwFs and "Bloom" Blocks

After a long day in Geraldton it was nice to sit and sew along with Cheryll and friends for FnwFs and I  managed to put together  2 more blocks for my " Bloom" SAL also with Cheryll ....

As well as putting on the sashing... I have decided to only do one row of sashing between blocks as I'm using strong primary colours and think two rows of sashing will take away from the "Blooms"

Thank you Cheryll for a fun night of sewing...I'll enjoy visiting HERE to see what others have made.

Happy Stitching
