November OPAM and sign ups for FnwFs

Today our town had the honor of being the hottest in the state, 41 deg Celsius, thankfully I went for a beautiful dip this morning before hiding in the air conditioned "Cave"

The first thing I wanted to do was get some binding ready for three quilts.

Lacy definitely wasn't any help.

All done ready to sew on.

first was the Paint Chip Challenge quilt. Now ready to reveal on Thursday at our Patch's Christmas dinner.

Next was a quilt I've put together after finding it half completed when tiding up some draws in the "Cave"

It is the first finish  OPAM.

I would like to say a huge thank you to KRIS who has organised us to get at least one finish each month for many years after taking over after both Peg and her started OPAM . I've really enjoyed joining in ...

The next finishes this month is four Santa Sacks to send to Jan Mac who donates to foster kids and those who need some extra love.

As it will be the first Friday of the month this week and last one for the year it's time to join in with Cheryll  (even though she's off on the high seas) for FnwFs
I'm sure you have some last minute sewing to do before Christmas so please join in. You can join in  HERE

Must away now and pop on the kettle.

Happy Stitching

Hugs  Maria ❤

FNSI for November

Can't believe it's nearly the end of November so time to join Wendy and friends for our second last FNSI for 2022...

As I have spent many many hours working on our Clubs Paint Chip Challenge (will do a post after our reveal because I surprised myself how patient I've been)

it was lovely to just sit and do some hand sewing on my EPP project
"La Passacaglia"

Thank you, Wendy, for a relaxing evening of stitching along with you and friends. do pop over HERE to see what others had done ..

Must away for my 100km round trip drive to Mingenew to deliver the challenge flimsy ....

Stay safe and hope you get a chance to stitch.

Hugs  Maria  ❤

FnwFs at SAHR......

My FnwFs started off a fabulous weekend for me as our Patch club was having one of our SAHRs as well as my DD coming up from the big smoke to join us....so I sewed along with all my favorite sewing friends...
After unloading the car and chatting to all I set up the machine and worked on the Aussie Hero blocks for this month

when my DD arrived, we sat and talked till it was time for us to set up for dinner. Our weekend is fully catered and there is a roster for us to have turns at setting the table and loading the dishwasher. ours was for Friday night.

DD and I went home about 9pm and when we returned Saturday morning it was to find these sprinkled all over my table and machine. Later there was even a cake with candles and the girls all sang "Happy Birthday" It was like being a kid again and I loved it.

I did finally get those blocks made

then in between morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and socialising I managed to work on my longgggggg term project the Wedding Ring Quilt.

both DD and I were ready for home and bed by 8.30pm... we returned Sunday morning in time for morning tea ( a delicious sponge cake with cream) and afterwards I sat and stitched the EPP onto my La Passacaglia project,

while DD continued to work on her "BLUE BOHO" heart ....

She is very happy with the progress she made over the weekend as the flimsy nearly done.

It was a full fun filled weekend , big thank you to all....

I'm sorry to the lovely ladies who left a comment on my last post and I haven't  replied , blogger isn't sending some comments through to my emails.. Hope it works this time...

Must away and put the vegies on for our roast....

Hugs  Maria❤ .

OPAM for October and Churn Dash SAL complete.

I thought I didn't have any finishes for October so hadn't done a post for OPAM with Kris... BUT when I scrolled down through my posts I realised I had two finishes for the month.
BIG thank you Kris for nudging me along to post a finish or two.

1st.. The Frivols Churn Dash/9 patch quilt ..

2nd.. The Pumpkin Mug Rug...

and I can now also add my FINISHED " Churn Dash Quilt " many of us did as a SAL with Chooky

The quilt has an owner already as hubby claimed it when it was still being put together and on the design wall....

Friday will be the first Friday of the month I'm sure to join Cheryll for
FnwFs as our Patch group is having a SAHR ...
So looking forward to it as my DD2 is coming up for the weekend too.

Must away now to get an early night as we go for our first morning dip tomorrow..

Happy Stitching
