OPAM for March 2021

It's the end of the third month of the year already and time to post our finishes for OPAM organised by the lovely KRIS who keeps us on track to have at least one finish each month.....

As it's Easter this coming weekend I make these to give to our Bobbing ladies when we GTG for Hot Cross Buns on Thursday....

The Paper Dolls ( which were my WOOFA challenge last month) is finished

Fiona from BubzRugz and I had a small swap of an "Autumn" Mini ..You can see what Fiona sent me HERE

This is what I sent her. I enjoyed making and receiving the minis..

Hmmm!!! Who's the silly girl who  washed the rubber backed caravan curtains in the machine -

of course they stuck together so off to see if I could get some fabric to closely match to make some new ones ..

Not the exact fabric but close enough so now there are four new curtains made for the van

I must away to do some blog reading to see what others have done for March..
Happy Stitching,
Hugs  Maria ❤

WOOFA for March 2021

As the days fly by so quickly I'm pleased Cheryll reminded us by email it was time to post our progress for the WOOFA Challenge and this is what I'm at so far.
I'm sure I'll get the binding on so I can post it as a finish for OPAM tomorrow along with some others...

Must away now to make a cuppa before getting back to sewing.

Happy Stitching and keep well.

Hugs  Maria ❤

Catch Up Post !

Thought it was time to do a catch up post as to what I'd been up to lately apart from my morning dips I have worked on some secret sewing....

Fiona from Bubz Rugz and I thought it would be fun to do an Autumn Mini swap . When I collected the mail today her beautiful Mini was in my post box ...It was wrapped in great paper with a lovely hand made tag..

Thanks heaps Fiona. I love all the pretty stitchery blocks and the way you hand quilted it...

Mine has also arrived in Qld...

The weekend before last Hubby and I went to the big smoke for GD2s Uni Graduation . It was lovely to go along and see her all dressed in gown and mortar board to receive her certificate .

While there DD2 and I went to "Sculptures by the Sea ". It was such a glorious sunny day. When we first arrived we had a coffee before going for our stroll to view all the sculptures... there are so many talented folk and the variations of designs is amazing.. some are in my header but here are a few more ,

My favorite was the huge " Silver Boab Tree" ( in the header) .. DD and I enjoyed taking some funny photos on the side...

before leaving on Sunday morning we were treated to a delicious brekky of French Toast with fresh strawberries and Ice cream made by DG2s partner..

I'm pleased to have my mojo back to play in the Cave and I hope to show my Paper Dolls completed soon....

Thinking of all the folk who are in the floods...

Oh must away as the bed is calling..

Stay safe and well

Hugs  Maria ❤

FNSI for March 2021

It's been a busy few weeks and not much sewing has been happening here sew I was pleased to join Wendy  and the gang for FNSI to complete some blocks for Aussie Hero's...

First were these two in the afternoon,

and after dinner thought I'd better tidy up before cutting the next one.....

Done and all ready to post on Monday.

I was enjoying being productive again in The Cave sew decided to make the borders for the Paper Dolls Designed by Toni

I hope to get them all made today and sewn onto the top . Would like to have it done for a finish for this month......

Must away and hang the washing on our verandah as it;s 42 deg cel so too HOT to hang on the line......

Happy stitching and stay well.

Hugs  Maria ❤
