Catching up

When I tidied the cupboard I found a few projects I'd forgotten about...

(See the marks on the door?
They are the measurements of the Grandies each time they visited...)

Remember this one Ellyn?
It only needed to be sandwiched and quilted.  All done now.

Also a cross stitch I started some 15 years ago..

I love doing cross stitch but I'm sew slow...

Will leave it out and just do a little at a time...

Still working on Bonnie's "On Ringo Lake" ..   Have been joining the pieces into blocks but look what I did !!!

Some reverse sewing needed.. Grrr!!  The one on the left is the wrong way...

This is a Mystery Medallion I joined on FB  ( sorry Chooky )

We did the center the first month and the ribbon row was this months...

Must away now and shift the sprinkler....

Oh no.....

When I opened the cupboard in the Cave

this happened....

think it's time to take everything out and tidy the shelves..    Do you also shove things into the cupboard instead of stacking it nicely on the shelves ??????

FNSI 2

It's great to be able to have a second FNSI with my Northern Hemisphere ladies and I was able to  finish the two " Blankets of Love"  I started last night.

Can pop them into the post tomorrow....

In the past few days I've also put together a Shaggy Quilt .. The new local craft shop have a program to make these quilts to hand out to the homeless ...

You pick up a pillowcase made into a bag in which all the blocks are ready to sew together...

When completed you pop the quilt back into the bag.... The quilt may not be the fabrics or colours I'd chose but it is a lovely warm quilt.....

Okay must get back into the Cave and do a few more Mystery Blocks...

Happy Stitching,

First FnwFs for the Year...

It's the start of the year and the first Friday night of the month sew time to sit and sew along with Cheryll and friends for FnwFs...

For the past few weeks I've only been working on Bonnie Hunter's Mystery On Ringo Lake and I don't seam to be getting anywhere. Sew I decided to do something different for FnwFs .. Thought I'd have fun playing with some Dinosaurs..

Went through my stash and found some nice bright fabrics. Then traced the Dino onto some visoflex.
Ironed onto the fabric and Taa Dahhh....

First one appliqued on ready for the details....

Thank you Cheryll for a fun night of sewing and I'll visit the others HERE over the weekend to see what you've been making...

Happy Stitching.
