Quilt Hanging 2019. Part 3 Photo heavy...

Two years ago I completed my Splendid Sampler quilt and some the ladies at Patch decided to to make the blocks as a group project.
They were completed in time to hang at the Quilt Show....

We also did  workshops on Bionic Bags

and Mondo Bags ......

Here are same more of my favorite quilts....

Some time ago one of lovely members Helen saw these flowers made from the top of drink bottles and decided they would be perfect for us to have them as decorations for the show and tables in the dining room...Lots of work by her and helpers but they were gorgeous....

It was very busy all day with folks enjoying a cuppa and home cooked goodie made by all our members. Also our great chef Linda baked fresh scones all day. Yummy..

Quilt Hanging 2019, Part 2

After the great team of men set up all the hangers and popped on the quilts the Rec Centre looked fantastic...

                                               

"THE BORED HUSBANDS"  table is always very popular...

Must away and put on the kettle for a nice cuppa. Will Show some more in the next post.

Quilt Hanging 2019 Part 1

Better late than never .. Finally I am able to do a post on our fabulous 2019 Quilt Hanging.

The Entrance on one side,

The other side had a display of  "Sexy Hexies"

Along the back wall of the Recreation Centre is where we have our special display rooms.....

The quilt at the back was made from flour bags .

In the " Music Room" we were entertained by young students playing the key board or a guitar..

A display of some extra large quilts.....

FNSI for October,

As it was the third Friday of the month again it was time to join the lovely Wendy for an evening of sewing and even though I've been in bed all week with a nasty bug it was nice to do a little sewing.

I managed to only do a little quilting on the Baby Beach Ball Quilt...

Thank you Wendy for getting me behind the machine again even for awhile.. Will enjoy visiting others HERE over the next week and also do a post on our Quilt Hanging which was fantastic...

FnwFs for October

Last night I enjoyed an evening with Cheryll and friends for FnwFs but before I started to sew I tidied the  "Cave " ..
As I was putting things away in the cupboard I found three place mats that still needed to be finished.
Sew that was what I worked on ...

Ready to be Hung and FnwFs

I have been busy getting my quilts etc ready for the Quilt Hanging now only 10 days away..

Three to go into the " Christmas Room"

These will go into DD's and mine " Children's Room"

This pile are to be hung in the main display...

and these were made at workshops and will be displayed in the hall  along with ones other members have made  ...

Another month's flown by and as it's the first Friday of the month and it's time to join in for FnwFs........ Cheryll has just returned from their holidays and she has put up the link so don't forget to sign up for  a lovely evening if stitching along with her and friends HERE
