Over the past few months Hubby and I have been doing a lot of work on our 5 acre block . First trimming trees that you can see HERE and then remove stumps posted HERE.
Next we ordered a huge 12 cubic metre skip bin to clear the back of the shed ready to erect a new garden shed.
Was so good to clear out all the junk we'd collected over the past 20 years and then Hubby leveled the ground and framed it up for the cement to be poured for the little shed.
The shed was a prefab thing which was supposed to be simple to put together ......
Well we sure spent many hours pulling out our hair and it sure tried our patience but we did keep going and got all the sides done..
now to get the roof together and put on the doors ...
We had so much trouble with the door on the right , just wouldn't fit right so for now it can stay as is.....
Finally completed and we'll never make another again.....
Even though we filled the huge skip bin there's more BUT they are things that MAY come in handy. LOL...
Thankfully in the evening I was able to trace some stitcheries , sit relax and sew....
Must away as it's time to do into town for the paper and coffee...
Stay healthy and enjoy some me time.
Hugs Maria ❤
you've been working hard!
ReplyDeleteDon't you just hate it went those pre-fab things never go together as they should. They are the cause of many "divorces" I am sure. LOL. Nice to get some stitching time at the end of such a trying time.
ReplyDeleteIt's always good to have a clear out, and even better to complete a problem project.
ReplyDeleteGood to see you did find time for something crafty.
Gosh you have been busy! Amazing what you collect over the years isnt it! Is that big building behind yours too? Lovely to have some sewing to relax with. xx
ReplyDeleteWell that was a challenging day for you Maria, thank goodness you could do some stitching on your cute stitchery and then go out for coffee!! Good to have a clean out too, amazing ho much gets kept in many houses because it might be useful one day!!
ReplyDeleteHaving property always means work to keep it in good shape....I think it's getting close to time for some paint on the outside of my house. Thank goodness most of it is brick. You all have done a lot of work there...that tree trimming business is hard work. Good that you finished and had a little time to do the stitching you love
ReplyDeleteEverything looks good--and I am sure this job was on a 'to do'list for awhile and though there was a rough patch with the putting together--it is mainly done--!!!
ReplyDeleteI have one of those--this is easy to put together projects--a tall toilet roll holder for the bathroom--that will be donated to the thrift shop when I go again as--it's impossible to put together!!!!! Plus the color was really wrong too!!
good thing we have our stitching to calm us!!!
take care--luv, di
What a big job! Bet you're both so pleased with it. Now to fill up that shed! LOL!
ReplyDeleteoh well done with the clear up and new shed.... I think there is benefit in calling the professionals in sometimes hey??? haha... great job you too I guess the neighbours can't call you in to do theirs....
ReplyDeleteHugz
What a great result. Worth all the effort
ReplyDeleteWoW that's a LoT of work... but rewarding I imagine.
ReplyDeleteIt's always great to have a clean out too... xox
Hi Maria you have both been very busy, great shed lovely stitchery, stay safe my frirend xx
ReplyDeleteWell done on your joint project, and it is amazing how the junk accumulates over time. I have a shed full that needs sorting also, one day!
ReplyDeleteEven though it didn't go as smoothly as you had hoped, it must feel good to have it finished and a lot of junk removed. That's what I'm working on right now, and it's a LOT of work!! Keep on stitching....
ReplyDeleteYour lot is looking good. I have ten acres and it is amazing how much stuff gets collected. My husband is into cars and such which helps us accumulate large items.
