Last week I bought a panel of four little Bears and I decided it would be nice to make something nice and quick, Sew I cut out two of the Bears for a couple of " Quilts of Love "
Before picking Hubby up from his RSL I added a border on each and then sandwiched them and popped them next to my machine....
On my return I picked up the little quilt and started quilting ... After doing the centre I realised it was a bit THICK..... Can you guess what I did ????
Yep ! I'd sewn the two quilts together ....
I can't believe I didn't hit any pins on the quilt underneath and break a needle !
After an hour of reverse sewing I got back to completing both quilts just after midnight..
After the little set back I am happy with the two little quilts.....
Must away now and make a few BlooMs to link up for the BlooM ParTy
Happy stitching.
Hugz Maria 😄
Clever you not hitting any pins underneath. The things that can happen. Lovely result in the end.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pain having to unpick it! That's always much slower than the actual sewing. Two sweet little quilts in the end, anyway.
ReplyDeleteOh no, easy to do. They do look great now.....
ReplyDeleteThey turned out so cute. You stayed up late, my eyes would have glassed over by then, lol
ReplyDeleteOoops! All turned out well in the end though as they are great little finishes. xx
ReplyDeleteI remember that print--we had it here along time ago--but it is still a delightful print!
ReplyDeleteand I know you had fun--unstitching them--we all enjoy doing that!!!!!
luv, di
Those prints are just so very CuTe...
ReplyDeleteIt's always a pain unstitching isn't it... but worth it in the end.
Great night of sewing with you Maria... xox

ReplyDeleteThe end results were well worth the effort

Oh no! Lucky save ... beautiful little quilts.
ReplyDeleteOh dear!! Thank goodness you didn't hit a pin! Two wonderful finishes though, lovely teddy fabric.
ReplyDeleteOh no... that was a bit of an error.. glad you got it sorted.
ReplyDeleteThese things happen, even in the best sewing rooms. They turned out very lovely after you managed to separate them.
ReplyDeleteOh my! Glad to see I'm not the only one that realizes my mistake too late ... I have also sewn wrong layers together! Good to see you managed to get both projects completed in spite of having to make a minor (?) correction. Lol!
ReplyDeleteOopsie daisy! At least you didn't hit any pins and were able to fix it x
