I attended a two day workshop this month to make a cute 6" Bear ..... I was surprised that on the first day we only got his head made.
Homework Sat night was to stitch the arms , legs , body and ears together sew on Sunday we worked on finishing our bear...
I nicknamed him " Scruffy " but after spending time making him a waistcoat and bandana I've called him
" Edmund "
My finish for " Sunday Stitchers" Challenge No 3 " Flying Colours " designed by Sue Belleli.
I picked up my quilt " Simplify " from the longarm quilters this week and I'm happy with the little Elephants and Flowers quilted all over...
found a great backing ...............
and as usual I've been busy sewing Sheilds for " Days for Girls "
and you can see my " Bunny Garden " Hanging
HERE...
Thank you KRIS for keeping me focused to get all these projects finished this month........
Must away and put on the kettle for a cuppa....
Happy Stitching.
Hugz Maria 😄
Edmund is super cute.
ReplyDeleteoh my, I am in love with Edmund …. but so fiddly to make. How clever are you. I love the quilt and that wonderful backing. Why did you not quilt it - you do a great job usually? and well done with SS challenge - it's a lovely little quilt...

Great finishes for April. Edmund is adorable! It is funny how a name doesn't feel right, and then you just know what you will call your doll or bear or whatever.
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy! That little bear is just adorable - especially with his waistcoat on him. The birdhouses are so cute with the log cabin type placement. Lovely finish on Simplify and you finished off so many pads too. It was a productive week! Well done.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little bear and one you will always treasure I am sure!!!
ReplyDeleteI miss making 'little' things like that--though I am not sure I made a bear--but then again--I probably did!!!!
Lots of other fun projects there too--
luv, di

ReplyDeleteLovely finishes, Maria. I love your Edmund. He is gorgeous. I made a teddy many years ago but never caught the bug to make more. He sits in my display cabinet in my sewing room! xxx

ReplyDeleteEdmund is so sweet. I've never made a furry bear (only crazy patchwork bears). So many other, lovely, colourful finishes.
