Another month has come to an end sew it's time to join our lovely Kris for OPAM . As it's a weird time we are living in and I've been self isolating I'm very pleased to have my quilting to keep from going crazy and have spent a LOT of productive time in my favorite place,
"The Cave"
We are now in lockdown in our set regions sew won't be spending time with our DD and family for Easter sew I decided to make and send a basket of Easter Eggs to each on a Bunny Placemat......
Thanks Michelle for the Basket Case Block.
( Not a good photo but as they are in the post will have to do, maybe DD can take a better photo I can post later..)
Michelle also kindly shared the lovely designs I stitched and made into a bag.
and the challenge No for Sunday Stitchers was 2 and as it was a small flimsy and just needed to be sandwiched and quilted I also got that finished ....
at the beginning of the month I sent two Boys Quilts to Jan Mac which you can see HERE and also finished my No 1 Challenge for Sunday Stitchers and I posted that HERE
I am surprised at how many finishes I have achieved this month as I seam to have jumped from one project to another .
I'm enjoying doing the Paper Dolls with Toni from Red Boot Company , working on "Flip Flop Scraps" my WOOFA Challenge with Cheryll and doing a few Sisters blocks each month for RSC too.
Oh and I'm started a new long term quilt for ME.....
Well must away and get this posted before midnight,
Stay safe all
Hugs Maria ❤
The Easter Egg placemats look lovely, what a great present for your family. And I've always liked your stripey quilt, reminds me of older style tea towels. I have the pattern tucked away and will maybe do it next year for RSC.
ReplyDeleteYour Easter gifts are gorgeous & will be loved by your DD's family.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on achieving your monthly goals like WOOFA.
Thanks for playing along in this group with me.
Stay away & stay safe... xox
More loveliness there
ReplyDeleteLove what you did with Michelle's designs
Lovely work, shutdown is hard … I hate not seeing people but at least we have our sewing to keep occupied..... I love your placemats.... just perfect. It's a pity you won't have easter together. I still love that quilt too...

Some lovely achievements.
ReplyDeleteLove the Easter placemats....what a great idea. Looking forward to seeing your new quilt as it progresses.
ReplyDeleteWonderful Easter place mats Maria, great how you have used the baskets.
ReplyDeleteHello Maria.
ReplyDeleteJust love what you did with Michelle's designs. Are you keeping the bag for yourself?
Yes, lockdown, spoke to someone today and they were stopped at the Lakes had to show his work documents. A few weeks back we had our last visit with our children and in my mind it will be 6 months before we seen them again. Though it could be sooner, I prefer to err on the side of caution. Good luck with your April sewing projects and your new "Me" quilt.
Happy days.
Bev.
You have had a busy month and finished many lovely projects.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to make the Easter mats. They are lovely. The Cave is churning out some lovely work :-)
ReplyDeleteCute stuff! You're being much more productive than me. I'm jumping all over the place, so making progress, but not much to share just yet.
