Fun Retreat

I spent the last four days at retreat with just a small group of friends...  Our "Retreat Mum" spoilt us by having this cute mug sitting on the table...

Love the Gnomes and their sewing machines...

Even though we enjoy lots of chatting and catching up we did get manage to work on many projects

sewed 285  X  2 1/2" squares into 11 blocks for project in previous post.

Made these into a flimsy

and also got another flimsy made using this kit that had sat in my cupboard for many years....

I didn't realise my "Windmills" are turned a different way than the pattern until I took the photo........

Was pleased what I got done and there will be a few things ready for my UFO list with the Sunday Stitchers...

I did manage to take photos of a few lovely flimsys others made....

DD's project on the table.....

Linda's very old UFO is finally a quilt for her MIL...
The above blocks were made at a previous retreat sew Jo got them sewn together this time...

another of Jo's gorgeous flimsies...

Sadly I missed taking photos of other beautiful tops and Retreat Mum made four gorgeous bracelets....

May get a photo later and will post then..

Must away now and organise dinner...

Thinking of  the folk affected by the fires and all volunteers doing such a great job....

Hugs  Maria ❤

  2. WOW! You accomplished so much! I like that striped flimsy you finished, very cool. And Oh My, so funny the windmills were sewn opposite. No problem as it doesn't hurt the design.

  3. You certainly put your foot to the pedal with great results. I would have put the windmills the same way...something about going from left to right makes sense.

  4. Once again, plenty of quilty goodness to show us. I do like your striped flimsy, reminds me of teatowels from my childhood. Such a great way to use up fabrics and they all go so well together. Could you please tell me how you cut the strips?

  13. Wow! Lots of nice quilts in the making. I'm glad you had such a fun retreat. I'm retreating as soon as I return from my Florida vacation and cruise. I've been planning for it. It's to sad to hear about all the fires. And now I understand there is flooding in some areas!!!!
