FnwFs

Last night I joined  Cheryll  and 30 other lovely ladies for FnwFs...

Firstly I made some signature blocks for Aussie Hero's...

and then I started to play with these

for hours and hours ...Just keep shifting the blocks, can't seam to find a lay out I like.

I decided to have some fun and sew something else...
and look what happened. Grrrrrr!!

Upside down....

some reverse sewing and all fixed and I think he's cute !!

Then it was nearly 1am sew went to bed...

I'll  Play with THOSE blocks again tonight when I join the ladies on the other side .

Happy Stitching,

Hugz Maria :)

  3. I love your wee fox! I can tell that you are still not impressed with your kaleidoscope blocks. It's so hard to work on something that isn't "grabbing" us.

keep laying them out==something will 'pop' one of these days with that quilt--
I have laid my Bee blocks aside for now--I have some other things happening that I need to think about right now--but in time I will figure out to finish them off-at least I hope I come up with a plan!!!

  9. Your kaleidoscope quilt is gorgeous! I haven't tried one of those yet. Fox quilts seem to be very popular around here these days. Love their little faces.

  12. One block wonder... Start in the centre doing a spiral out. With the red being the middle turning into the blue, from the lighter red to solid then solid blue to lighter. Put all the background as a separating round so the colours don't touch. If you can understand this mumbo jumbo

  13. Funky little foxy block there Maria... I didn't get around to anything worth writing about for fnwf (or the Twisties either LOL).
Those floral hexy shapes would do my head in, good luck with settling on something pleasing x

  15. Your little fox is very cute. I know your frustration with the kaleidoscope blocks. I have one of those quilts - pieces all made and I had it on the design wall for a long time playing with it and trying to find a layout I liked. I finally took it down and put it away. One of these days I'll get it out again. I think it helps to have other people look at it and give advice. Even if you don't take their advice, it seems to open some pathways in the brain that allow you to look at it differently.

  20. Such pretty hexies, but isn´t it difficult to find just that right pattern. I always have the same problem and my minis are in the UFO drawer :-(
