Firstly I made some signature blocks for Aussie Hero's...
and then I started to play with these
for hours and hours ...Just keep shifting the blocks, can't seam to find a lay out I like.
I decided to have some fun and sew something else...
and look what happened. Grrrrrr!!
Upside down....
some reverse sewing and all fixed and I think he's cute !!
Then it was nearly 1am sew went to bed...
I'll Play with THOSE blocks again tonight when I join the ladies on the other side .
Happy Stitching,
Hugz Maria :)
Love your kalidescope blocks. Hope you find the layout that you like soon.
ReplyDeleteYour kaleidoscope blocks are lovely - keep playing and you'll find a layout you're happy with :-) Your blue fox is very cute!
ReplyDeleteI love your wee fox! I can tell that you are still not impressed with your kaleidoscope blocks. It's so hard to work on something that isn't "grabbing" us.
ReplyDeleteNeat projects and so colorful--course the fox has got my best vote!!!
ReplyDeletekeep laying them out==something will 'pop' one of these days with that quilt--
I have laid my Bee blocks aside for now--I have some other things happening that I need to think about right now--but in time I will figure out to finish them off-at least I hope I come up with a plan!!!
enjoy the moments, di
Your hexagonal quilt looks very time consuming but beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteLove the kaleidoscope blocks. Very cute fox. Hugs, xx
ReplyDeleteNice little fox ....... it amazes me how quickly hours can pass by when trying to get things to work
ReplyDeleteWonderful signature blocks for Aussie Heros. I hope too that you can find a layout you are happy with for you kaleidoscope blocks. The fox is very cute, sometimes upside down happens.
ReplyDeleteYour kaleidoscope quilt is gorgeous! I haven't tried one of those yet. Fox quilts seem to be very popular around here these days. Love their little faces.
ReplyDeletegreat sewing.... those one block wonders are so effective - I'm sure it will look great whatever you decide... love your pieced fox face...
ReplyDeleteHugz
Love the one block wonder - you can re arrange for hours - maybe take it to a group thing and get totally confused!!
ReplyDeleteCute fox face.
One block wonder... Start in the centre doing a spiral out. With the red being the middle turning into the blue, from the lighter red to solid then solid blue to lighter. Put all the background as a separating round so the colours don't touch. If you can understand this mumbo jumbo
ReplyDeleteFunky little foxy block there Maria... I didn't get around to anything worth writing about for fnwf (or the Twisties either LOL).
ReplyDeleteThose floral hexy shapes would do my head in, good luck with settling on something pleasing x
Cute little fox! He will need other animals from the forest to keep him company.
ReplyDeleteLove the fox Mum, so cute
ReplyDeleteYour little fox is very cute. I know your frustration with the kaleidoscope blocks. I have one of those quilts - pieces all made and I had it on the design wall for a long time playing with it and trying to find a layout I liked. I finally took it down and put it away. One of these days I'll get it out again. I think it helps to have other people look at it and give advice. Even if you don't take their advice, it seems to open some pathways in the brain that allow you to look at it differently.
ReplyDeletehow fun! oooh I'll be sharing some foxes in the next couple of days! love yours
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your block shuffling. I still can't find mine.......is that telling you something about the state of my sewing room? Your fox is too cute.
ReplyDeleteI'm interested to see how you'd hexies end up...sometimes you just have to walk away don't you!
ReplyDeleteNice evening of work Maria.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for joining in with us at FNwF too... xox
Such pretty hexies, but isn´t it difficult to find just that right pattern. I always have the same problem and my minis are in the UFO drawer :-(
