last night I worked on my SAHRR. The next round was a BRAID Border.
I had cut the rectangles in the afternoon so when I went into the cave in the evening was able to start putting the rows together.
It took a lot longer than I thought to get the braids all stitched together. It was nearly 1am when I stopped.
I could not believe that when I spread the quilt top on the floor I had made a MISTAKE again…
What is it with this top I have muffed up in every row…… Notice I did stitch on the missing spool. Had to make a new one. LOL
I am off into the cave now to join the others who are doing FNSI tonight.
That's lovely! But looks very complicated!! Hugs
ReplyDeleteWOW! That is an AWESOME quilt! I love the braid border and the sewing machines!

the braid border is so pretty! Is it hard to do? and I agree, someone would have to be looking to catch that mistake! beautiful work
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed that you have this done , wow it looks fantastic and has me wanting to get starting right away .How wide did you make this border ,looks to be around 3-4" and I see you did a spacer first I wondered if I should do that with my busy pinwheel border meeting it .Great Job Maria !!

O Maria-
ReplyDeleteI think it is lovely. All that work cutting little pieces -turning them into bigger pieces . Makes me think of algebra in school?????????
You know Positively that I have done that " O NO -NOT ANOTHER MISTAKE!" over & over again. They say that practice makes perfect - but I am unforsure what I was trying to perfect - the project or the mistake???? Of course I am a really good ripper now-maybe that was my lesson. ?????
Maria it is quite wonderful and you much be so pleased xxx
ReplyDeleteOh Maria..it's been a cheeky little things hasn't it... but well worth the effort of unpicking in the end. It's fantastic! :)
