My DD2 had given me these scraps of fabric and I thought it would be perfect to make the bag. Instead of the embroidery blocks I used butterfly blocks.
Today I also completed some more Rice Bags for Hiam Health in Dili.
I can pop them into the mail tomorrow.
What a nice bag! Great idea too to have the money from the pattern donated to help others.
ReplyDeleteOh now I really like this bag!!!
ReplyDeleteGood project. A win win for all!
Hugs,
Lola

ReplyDeletegreetings Dorine
I spent yesterday making the same bag. Hopefully I will finish it today when I go and buy some matching cotton to sew the handles. Isn't it always the way that you own lots of cotton but not one that is the right colour. I love your colour arrangement.
ReplyDeleteGreat bag, love the scraps you used and the butterflies add that special touch. Happy sewing.

Little Sister.
I just wanted to say thank you for stopping by my blog today! Tomorrow Lynne is taking me out to a Quilt Ralley , so I am attempting to go to bed early. But, you know how it is - when you want to sleep -it doesn't want to co-operate.
ReplyDeleteBest wishs to you for a wonderful day.
