Mother’s Day Mini and April OPAM Finishes.

Last week I received my lovely Mother’s Day Mini from Shez



Love the way she has coloured the rose ... Thank you Shez... and Swap Mum Cheryll for organising another lovely swap.

Sewing Sleepover

Home again after a fabulous weekend spent with eight lovely ladies and hosted by  my friend Sue.



We sent hours playing with our “Happy Village”…





and often asked each other why we were doing it..



I wonder how many of the villages will be completed?????? I still have a longggggggggggg way to go………..

On Saturday Loris ( one of our Patch Lady’s) come over with her pots of dyes and the visitors enjoyed dying all their white fabrics…



There was lots of oo’s and ah’s as the fabrics were removed from the bags, washed, then dried to reveal all the pretty colours…..






Sunday morning we all went to my favourite seaside cafe for brekky…



and then back to Sue’s for some more playing.



Thank you Sue and all the ladies for a great weekend… Hope we can do it again!!!!!!!!

Keeping Busy..

Over the past few days I have been  pulling out these ……





Five trailer loads of Dongara Daisies.. Even though they look pretty they are an obnoxious weed.


and also turning my cave from this……..





to this……



now I need to put all my STUFF back…

Will it all fit back in the cave again ????????

Sadly these guys won’t. They are just too brittle. My GS1 and GD1 made them when they were in Kindy, 18 and 16 yrs ago….







Off to put the shelves back up sew I can put some STUFF on them…

Lest we Forget.

 Tomorrow is ANZAC DAY.  My Husband along with many will be going to the Dawn Service and later attend the March in remembrance all the men and women who served for our country..

I have started something !!!!!!

Now  that my scrap box looks like this



after getting rid of these




and cutting up scraps into some 2 1/2” and 6 1/2” squares. Also 2 1/2” strips for Scrappy Round the World Blocks and QAYG blocks…….





 now I am on a roll and have cleaned my shelves and am busy removing my STUFF from the cave sew I can paint it……



Off to have my brekky and then get stuck into it.........
