Tomorrow is ANZAC DAY. My Husband along with many will be going to the Dawn Service and later attend the March in remembrance all the men and women who served for our country..

ReplyDeleteHome from the dawn service here - have been going for a few years since my son joined Scouts about 6 years ago. He has gone off to the R.S.L. to serve breakfast to the soldiers. I'm so proud of him.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful to think of all the Aussies and Kiwis remembering the original Anzacs today. Even my bloke was off to the Dawn Service in Onslow this morning.

ReplyDeleteWe didn't make dawn service this year, but Squid2 did his march in our local parade (cubs).
ANZAC day always makes me a little sad. We are so blessed to live in this country and today we thank the people that keep us safe.
What makes me sad is so many people have no idea what ANZAC Day is all about and why we give thanks, life here in Oz is that good.
It is only because I was raised with the ANZAC spirit that this day is so close to my heart.
I have never seen that photo of my Dad and it makes me so proud of what he did. Even if it was a small part of his life, it has shaped mine and my kids lives as ANZAC Day will live on in our hearts forever.
Love you Mum & Dad
