As it was the third Friday of the month yesterday it was time to join Wendy and friends for another enjoyable FNSI ....
I made an early start in the afternoon and cut enough blocks from my stash to make a baby's Floor Rug/Mat so after dinner I got to and sewed
and sewed till the flimsy was done and got it sandwiched and pinned .....
I then continued with quilting it , just cross hatched and also found a suitable binding which I got ready ....
This morning I sewed it on and Taa Dah !
The Floor Rug/Mat is done , it is 37" square.....
Thank you Wendy for once again organising us for our Fright Night Sew In
Before doing this post I found a small Jelly Roll so tomorrow I am joining the folk in the Northern Hemisphere for
Guess there's a day for everything but I thought it would be a fun way to get and sew a simple Baby Boys quilt.....
anyone wish to join in ???????
Well must away and publish this post.......
Keep safe and well my friends.
Hugs Maria ❤
Sweet floor mat for baby! Love the bright colors. Can't believe you got it all sewn up & quilted same day. You are amazing. See you next month!
ReplyDeleteThat's such a sweet quilt for a little one. They will love all the happy colors.
ReplyDeleteA very cute and colourful floor mat. A bit late for me to join in with the jelly roll sew in but I am going to check it out.
ReplyDeleteOh that's so bright and cheery...... Great to have it done... Missed the national jelly roll day although I probably have some to sew......
ReplyDeleteLovely cheery floor mat. I meant to get a jelly roll & pattern ready last week but totally forgot, maybe next year. :) Hugs, xx
ReplyDeleteOh WoW... I love the colours in this one... so bright & happy for a child to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteNice job & a great finish too...xox
That’s a great quick finish. I did see that it was national jelly roll day somewhere. A shame I wasn’t more organised. I need to get another project finished today. So I will be sewing with you today but not on a jelly roll.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, that was a quick job, completed in no time at all. It's a nice easy design too, by the look of it, well done!
ReplyDeleteOh wow.... a quilt in a night.... looks great and happy and cheerful..... How did you get on with your Jelly Roll. I've had visitors so no sewing got done...
ReplyDeleteHugz
Wow! That was a productive evening. Go you. It turned out really well. I’m looking forward to seeing the jelly roll quilt. Were you just as quick with it as well?
ReplyDeleteThe wee play mat is very bright and colourful, just the thing for little eyes.
ReplyDeleteYou sure did have a busy evening getting it all finished. LOL
From scratch to finish in one day, that is a great achievement. The jelly roll fabrics will make a beautiful little quilt for a baby too.
ReplyDeleteA finish! A finish! Hooray for a finish! We love them!
