WOOFA Progress...

This year I joined WOOFA  "Working On Or Finishing A .... project", organised by Cheryll.. and the project I'm working on now is a quilt for ME called " Urban Owls" by Wendy Williams...
It has many techniques from applique to PP which I'll find challenging as well I've decided to hopefully only use what is in my stash......Sew good to have lots of encouragement , thanks Cheryll.

Sew far I have completed the centre block , small borders and a flying geese border . Next I've sewn two of the three Ohio Star corner blocks....

I can't decide whether to use the the mauve with the greens or the bluish/green for the star points in the next block ???
Which one do you think????

Must away now to put the kettle on for a cuppa,

Happy Stitching and keep well.

Hugs  Maria  ❤

  1. What a fun quilt! If these options are for the remaining 2 stars I'd probably go the one on the right as the other two stars have fabrics in the same colour way - then again maybe I've misunderstood.

  2. I agree with Susan. If you want to continue the theme go with the blush/green.
If you want contrast go with the mauve.

  3. I would take the blue-green option for the last star. Will the last corner be something else and not another star?

  4. That quilt is going to be beautiful, Maria. I like the group with their mauve.

  5. I like the mauve but I agree, your other blocks are monochromatic so I'd go with the set on the right. so pretty!

  6. Well I got all befuddled when you said "3 of the corner blocks" so I had to google the Urban Owls Pattern to see! Wow what a gorgeous quilt it will be! I vote for the mauve because I wonder if the blue will look too similar to the blue you already have? But I am never any good at deciding colors so go with your instinct!

  7. You are making wonderful progress with your Me quilt Maria, it looks amazing. I would go with the mauve as I am a purple person, but the comments above all make good points too.

  8. This is such a lovely quilt ... I like the mauve too myself as there is more contrast... but either would work....

  13. Oh dear. I would probably go with the mauve, but don't think you could go wrong with either.
