It's the start of the year and the first Friday night of the month sew time to sit and sew along with Cheryll and friends for FnwFs...
For the past few weeks I've only been working on Bonnie Hunter's Mystery On Ringo Lake and I don't seam to be getting anywhere. Sew I decided to do something different for FnwFs .. Thought I'd have fun playing with some Dinosaurs..
Went through my stash and found some nice bright fabrics. Then traced the Dino onto some visoflex.
Ironed onto the fabric and Taa Dahhh....
First one appliqued on ready for the details....
Thank you Cheryll for a fun night of sewing and I'll visit the others HERE over the weekend to see what you've been making...
Happy Stitching.
Hugz Maria :)

ReplyDeleteVery cool......
ReplyDeleteHi Maria wow your dinosaur looks fantastic, love it ,well done my friend xx
ReplyDeleteMaria, it's good to have a change of pace. He is very cute.. I'm not sure when I'll do some more mystery. It's laid out on the table. It will happen one day as I'm sure yours will too.
ReplyDeleteDino will make a lovely quilt
ReplyDeleteLove your dinosaur. So cute & in my favourite colour too. :). Hugs,
ReplyDeletevery sweet dinosaur.... sometimes we just need to do something a bit different...

What a cute dinosaur! - and a fun project to make.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun looking dinosaur.... nice to have a break from a big project from time to time. I forgot that it was Friday yesterday so missed FNWF totally :-(
ReplyDeletecute dino!
ReplyDeleteOMGosh.....that is so cute!
ReplyDeleteThat looks a fun project.
ReplyDeleteThat's a brilliant idea.
ReplyDeletewhen a project just isn't working then... move to something that is .. and have some FUN x
ReplyDeleteLove the dinosaur. I abandoned rings lake....too much piecing for me at this point!
ReplyDeleteThat s so cool! Sounds like a much easier way to trace onto the visoflex rather than the fabric - I'll be doing this next time!!!
ReplyDeleteSometimes it's nice to do something fun...looks great.
ReplyDeleteI love the dinosaur, it has given me some great ideas. Thank you for the inspiration :)
ReplyDeleteThe dinosaur is adorable. I like to have a fun project going at the same time as a long term project. I really need to let my brain switch gears or I tend to get burned out. Bonnie Hunter's mysteries can be tedious.
ReplyDeleteI can understand that you'd want a break from the Bonnie mystery, Maria... they are a lot of work in a short period of time.
ReplyDeleteGreat start on your dinosaur!
x
He is adorable. Are these pages from maybe a coloring book? If this is a pattern I sure would like to know which one and the number. And the monster one in your banner is just as cute. I do baby quilting but these want me to grow into toddler ones as well. I'm so into "cute" right now.
ReplyDeleteYou do love the colourful appliques! This dinosaur is going to be fun. I am glad that I didn't do the Bonnie Hunter mystery this year. I am still working on last year's!
ReplyDeleteGood start to the year with such fun project :-)
