Were did the week go ????? I've been busy sewing and still raking...
As I enjoy making for the community on Monday I picked up a pile of Boomerang Bags , click on the link and read about them HERE
First I got all the handles sewn
sew far I've made 7 and I'm waiting for the front label to sew on which is the pocket....
While I was raking up leaves on Tues an "Inch Ant " bite me... Boy did it sting. You can see it's still sore today..
Saw a big nest while raking this morning and I got right away from it.... once bitten twice shy !!!
Wednesday I spent a day in town and bought these...
to make quilts to donate to kids...
This week I have finally finished the stitching on block 3
and 4 of Lynette Anderson's "Seaside Town" Now to make the Snail Trail blocks and clam shells...
hope to catch up with the "Roundabout Quilt-Along" blocks and the " Holly Cottage" block for this month over the weekend.......
what will you be doing ?????? Some stitching ??
Hugz Maria :)
Oh wow you have been busy. I'm going to have a look at the boomerang bags site. Ouch your arm looks sore. I bet you won't be doing that again.
ReplyDeleteWow! You have been productive. All looking good. I've never heard of itching ants. I'm glad we don't have them over here.
ReplyDeleteso much accomplished! that sting does look sore. we have "fire ants" here in Texas, I run from them too. hope you heal quickly
ReplyDeleteOuch!!!!!! That bite looks nasty. I really like the colorful kids quilt and your stitching is beautiful too.
ReplyDeleteHere is some advice from Dr. Di--the best thing to put on those bites, stings is a product called 'After Bite" and I got mine at Walmart--though don't know if you have those in your area--and second--when my bites look like that-- I just spread some honey (real honey--not syrup type) on it and leave it for about 10-15 minutes and then wash it off--it pulls the infection right out of it--I bit with red ants on the trip to NY and that is what I did (ended up doing honey thing 2 different days--)
ReplyDeleteusually when I get bitten with red ants I am in pain for 3 weeks--this time with the After bite and the honey it was just a week--
and look at all those beautiful projects you are working on--way to go girl--
enjoy the moments, di
Ohhh looks painful. Love the kids quilts, so many projects and accomplishments.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you've kept out of trouble this week Maria. Except of course for the bite. Does look nasty. Hope it's stopped hurting now. xxx
ReplyDeleteHa! I said the same thing about today being Sunday again already! It's kind of scary! All your work is wonderful. You've kept so busy and it appears, organized. I need to take a page out of your book, I think!
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy with wonderful projects! The Boomerang bags are an idea to be supported. I always use a big grocery bag I have made, and carry a foldable fabric bag in my shoulder bag for other shopping. - The stitchery looks lovely!
