Last night I enjoyed sorting through the cave and finding a few things to work on for FnwFs….
Firstly I finished some secret sewing by hand sewing the binding down….. Ready now for the post…
Then I made the next Owl BOM… Her name is Viola and for christmas I was given this gorgeous Mug. Thought it would be nice to make Viola similar to her…
Was happy with how she looks….
My OWL blocks are growing… Think I will redo the little guy bottom left.. Just too busy.. Sorry for the blurry photo, was a bit wobbly standing on the bed to take it…
Thank you Cheryll for running FnwFs. Was nice to get back in the swing of sewing.
Will pop over and visit the other ladies over the weekend. A great way to spend time when it is 45 deg Celsius under the Patio….
Even too hot for these guys who are falling out of the roof space …… Didn't realise how many lived there... Well not anymore.. LOL
Hugz Maria
Viola is very pretty! 45!! that is where we are headed for on Monday - I am not looking forward to it - guess summer had to come eventually tho.
ReplyDeleteI love Viola - wow 45 is hot - which part of Oz do you live, Maria?
ReplyDeleteI love Viola - wow 45 is hot - which part of Oz do you live, Maria?
ReplyDeleteOh viola is so cute ..... Hope it has cooled down for you :-)
ReplyDeleteOMG Maria - anyone would think we live next door to eachother!!!
ReplyDeleteWe have spiders coming out too, mr13 is killing them... and our weather station is giving us similarly high readings...
Lovely sewing for FNWF, the owls are very lovely... x

After a day of babysitting I too was happy to do FNWF.
Well you are back on track now your owl quilt is stunning.
ReplyDeleteYou must be sending the best our way it's meant to hit Wednesday.
wow Maria love your owl quilt it is looking awesome, well done on such beautiful work, yukky spiders we have heaps here living out in the bush.xx
ReplyDeleteLovely owl blocks, Maria! It's certainly hot when the temperature is 45! We had slightly lower temps last week...not good for crafting :-(
ReplyDeleteWow! You did good! Loving that owl quilt. I tried one owl block, messed it up, and didn't try again. Maybe someday! The newest owl block is precious.
ReplyDeleteLove your owls.
ReplyDeleteNasty weather - Brisbane is just constantly hot but temps that high are unusual (fortunately).
Those spiders seem to eb everywhere in WA!!
I like Viola, and your whole quilt is looking very nice. Not surprised about the spiders dropping from the heat. My sewing room reached 45 last Saturday - I like warm but that is insane. Needless to say, no sewing (or computering) was done that day.
ReplyDeleteThe owls are all so cute!! I've been printing them off each month in the hopes of doing them someday. It looks like you had a productive sewing night.
ReplyDeleteOh my, I don't think I would be as productive as you in that heat! I wish I could send some of my cold air. Viola is adorable. Will that be a charity quilt?
ReplyDeleteViola is lovely ,love all the owls on that quilt, gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteNot keen on the creepy crawlies.I would not survive in that heat.
Try to stay cool,Laura xx

ReplyDeleteViola is so pretty, we're expecting similar temps early next week but hopefully not with the spiders as well :) Barb.
ReplyDeleteI love how your owl blocks are coming together, looks like it will be a decent sized quilt.
ReplyDeleteMiss Viola is very sweet!
We are going to get some hot weather this week too, not looking forward to it at all!

ReplyDeleteI love your owls... they look great and I agree that changing that one will be good.... and he will make a nice mug rug or something??? yuck to spiders... I don't like them and this week was the first tiem I have seen real live red backs... and we have had two of them on my veranda....
