First OPAM and the Pledge

It’s National Rug Mug Day….

A few of my UFOs….

After going through last year's UFO list I realised there are still some that need to be finished sew this year I will only list a few at a time… do you think that will work ??

Lynette Anderson’s “Château Hexagon” BOM



and also her “Fernhill” BOM.
Hope to have these done by the end of the year.




Ellyn’s Blocks need to be sewn together, sandwiched and quilted.



and a Tiny Tote.. which I found tucked away in the mag..



I do hope to work on my 1 1/2” Postage Stamp too as I started this in 2011..



and the Scrappy round the World …



This needs to be made too…..

Happy Dance, and FNSI…..

Yes a Happy Dance for me…. You can read why  HERE       .



I rummaged through my scrap box and found enough fabric to make 2 new 3” blocks….  Thank you to the ladies who offered to send me replacement fabric. Bloggers are great…

I joined Wendy and the ladies for FNSI and firstly did the binding on three Table Runners….




Make the second row for "Goodnight Irene" Sew Along with Terry…..





and sewed these blocks for my “Scrappy Round the World”

OH NO !!!!!!

Not Happy Jan …….. Can you see what I have done ??????



Was cutting the last border for a “Mystery Quilt” Loris and I are doing as a project for the ladies at Patch. The little four patch was under the border fabric..
Of course I don’t have anymore of the purple fabric. Was using what I had in the cupboard… 
think I will just sit in my Cave and cry….  or look for a bit of fabric to match......

I have also signed up again for OPAM this year with Sweet Peg and Kris.. It is the forth year I have joined the ladies and they help motivate me to finish at least one project a month. If you have never joined before do pop over and check it out…

What I have

been doing while it’s soooo hot… in 40s cel….

These are the little buckets we fill with water sew we can wash the sand from our feet before getting in our cars… LOL…



Cleaning out the cave. I need to be brave and toss some things…..





Found lots of plastic bags with projects I have cut out and never did anymore… Sew have also started my UFO list for 2014…..

and then I needed to cut these….





70  X  4 1/2” white Squares and 550  X  2 1/2” ……. May need more later……


Also organised my lovely spotty fabrics I received for my B/D in the FQ B/D Swap and others from blogging friend Ellyn in Texas…..





Looking forward to starting at least one of these soon…BUT I must do some of my UFOs first…..

Time to Catch up…

Firstly I would like to show the lovely gifts I received from my Blogging friend Sunny from the USA…..

We were keep busy with visitors over the Christmas/New Year break with

going to the beach,

and going for rides on the quads to the Dunes….

FnwFs

Last night I enjoyed sorting through the cave and finding a few things to work on for FnwFs….

Firstly I finished some secret sewing by hand sewing the binding down….. Ready now for the post…






Then I made the next Owl BOM… Her name is Viola and for christmas I was given this gorgeous Mug. Thought it would be nice to make Viola similar to her…





Was happy with how she looks….





My OWL blocks are growing… Think I will redo the little guy bottom left.. Just too busy.. Sorry for the blurry photo, was a bit wobbly standing on the bed to take it…

 Thank you Cheryll  for running FnwFs. Was nice to get back in the swing of sewing.



Will pop over and visit the other ladies over the weekend. A great way to spend time when it is 45 deg Celsius under the Patio….





Even too hot for these guys who are falling out of the roof space …… Didn't realise how many lived there... Well not anymore.. LOL

Where has it gone !!!!!

I am seem to have lost my Mojo for both sewing and blogging… My computer is slow and sluggish like me. I keep getting messages about errors on the blog and can’t seem to fix it… Sew decided to join the lovely Cheryll and Friends for FnwFs…





Hopefully they will help me get back on track….
