Boy it is not only Wednesday again, it is only a few days to the end of this month and half of 2013 has flown by……..

thanks to Di I was able to stitch together the hexies she sent me for my flower this week…

Boy was that a huge quilt to pull around under my machine. It measures 85” X 65”. I had to put a line higher in my trees to take a full length photo of it sew you could see the little fence on the bottom……

Last week I received my special Mug Rug from Wendi and some nice goodies too. Thank you Wendi and also Ida for organising the swap.

Where did this week GO ??????

Can’t believe it is Wednesday again and time to post my Flower for OFW with Karen and Friends…

Over the weekend I played with my North Pole Blocks...




and managed to finish three… Only two more to go . I may just make that October deadline for our Quilt Hanging..


Also got my “Let’s Celebrate “ partner Clare’s Biggest Morning Tea gift made and posted.






and look what is under the machine ??? the builders and landscapers are finished and now it is up to the Interior Designer to do the rest to finish “ 88th Street”.





Oh and today I was able to buy my threads sew I can stitch my first  “Chateau Hexagon” BOM by Lynette Anderson.. Yah!!!!!

It’s Hump Day Again!!!!!!!

Sew after returning from my walk I was able to stitch this “cat” flower and join my friends at Karen’s for OFW.... 






Thanks to Di who sent me the nice parcel of hexies ready to stitch…
Boy those Cats look very grumpy.. And the little one looks very sad…I am sure Di’s cat Miss Gracie doesn’t look like them..

Sewing with Others for Others

On Saturday I went to a small rural town to spend the day sewing with others for “The Homeless.”
It was a beautiful drive to the Mingenew, 45 kms away, with the sun shining driving past the new crops growing in the huge paddocks.




 



I was met by Kym, who organised the day and runs the local craft shop. I was shown into the pub’s dining room were we set up our machine’s and introduced to the other ladies.




Shelly Hubon from HD Streetwise came form Perth to tell us about how the Shaggy Quilts will make a difference to the homeless she helps.





We had a great day,sewing madly, chatting, eating yummy scones for morning tea and making friends with a new group of lovely ladies. We completed 8 quilts in 6 hours by 8 ladies.





Look forward to doing it again next year but for two days and then we can make many more quilts Kym and Shelly...

OH Look What I have Joined Now….

I just can’t help myself…


Last year I joined in the Beginner’s Quilt-A-Long at Quilting Gallery and enjoyed making a new block each month and then a nice Kid’s quilt.




Sew thought this would also be fun to participant in and now I HAVE to buy some fabric sew I can make the blocks  ..SIGH!!!!!

How spoilt was I… Great Christmas fabrics, patterns and heaps of hexies as well as some to stitch together.
Sew of course I had to add one to my OFW list..

Some Me Time!!!

For the past few days DH was in the big smoke for an appointment and to spend some time with our DD and family. Sew I had a bit of “Me time”.

The first day it was wet and cold sew I worked on some secret sewing…

 

 

 

 

Also decided to re pot my plant that lived on the fridge. When I went to lift it down this happened…Grrrrrrrrrrrrr…

 

After cleaning up the mess it was re potted. Looks great on my pretty table runner Teresa made for me..

 

Day two and the sun was shining. Great time to do some mowing on the block..

 

 

It was challenging to find the ride on which was tucked away to the left of all DH’s toys.

 

Hmmmm Messy Shed…….

Today I sat on the patio and tried to work on some more secret stuff but someone wanted to play…..
