Yep it’s Hump Day again sew I popped over to Karen's Sign Up Page for OFW.



Today I have been getting flowers ready to stitch.

Home Again

Arrived home this afternoon after driving to Perth for our first Bloggers Meet and Craft Show…

From left...DD Sandra, from Playing Tiddleywinks , Anthea, from Hibiscus Stitches,  Me ,Tracee from Quilt Kitty Loves Life , Julia from Julia's Place and her DIL Janete..
It was also nice to meet Tracey from Outback Craftaholic who could only stay awhile ( so missed out on the photo) as she was on driver duty  for WAQA as the Workshop Convener.

After coffee and chat we went into the Craft Show for some shopping and afterwards we met up for lunch. Then back into the show to look at the  amazing display of quilts…











These are the purchases I made..



A Kit to make a wee pouch for my GD, some beautiful threads, nice Mug Rug fabric and some bits and bobs for swaps..

Thank you Anthea for helping organise our meet. Hope we can all meet up again soon.

North Pole Block , Owl and SAL Project.

I love putting the North Pole blocks together and seeing what all the other ladies are making.

I had a pair of linen pants that didn’t fit, sew I cut them up and turned them into this month’s SAL project..


 

They do look good as a bag..

OFW, Houses and a Coat…

This week I didn’t make a flower but some 1/2” hexies for a secret project I am working…

Pleased to say the builder has been back on site and the village is now complete……



It still needs some more roadwork ( borders) I think.. not sure how to finish it. Any ideas ???????

the weather here turned wet,cold and windy on Monday



sew I had to quickly make a new coat for Lacy….



and now the sun has been shining for the past two days……

A Reminder

                    About our PERTH BLOGGERS Meet.

                       When…. Saturday May 25th 2013
Where…..  Perth Craft & Quilt Fair- Perth Convention Centre
                         Time…..  9am

   We will be meeting in the foyer just inside the main doors of the Centre and having a “ A Pleased to Meet you cuppa” nearby before we go into the show.
Anthea and I will be wearing name tags to make it easier for you to find us..

     




Please leave a comment on  Anthea's or my blog so we know who will be joining us you if you have not done so already.. We have a fairly good idea of who will be coming but we just don’t want to miss anyone.
We will be a small group but it will be nice to put names to faces.

FNSI on Saturday

This month I joined Heidi and the folks in the Northern Hemisphere for FNSI on Saturday here…

I managed to quilt about half of the blocks of my “Orange and Aqua” quilt

   





and then sat to finish Ellyn’s BOM stitchery..



also did a little secret sewing..




I always enjoy sewing along with all the folks for FNSI sew a big thank you to Heidi for organising us again this month…

OFW and A Nice Surprise…

Getting this post done just in time for OFW as it is nearly midnight here..… Only sat and stitched my flower this evening..



Will go to  Karen's tomorrow to see who else has been stitching along.

this year I joined "Let's Celebrate Swap"  and yesterday my beautiful Mother’s Day gift from Clare arrived.





I love all the goodies that were in my pretty parcel.. Some yummy Kiwi chocolate, lovely fabrics, thread, ribbon and buttons. And a fabulous roll made with pretty floral fabric for my blocks or stitchery. Thank you Clare….

Looking forward to making our next swap. It is for “The Biggest Morning Tea” Hmmm!!! have some ideas already..

Home Again…

after spending a wonderful time in the big smoke… it is so busy there that it is nice to come home.

On Friday we went here…




The circus was just great… 


Saturday morning DD and I pinned her quilt. Now they are both ready to sew..



Later we went to lunch and of course shopping.


Sunday was Mother’s Day and we were both very spoilt .



You can see the cook in the background busy making the pancakes for our breakfast..


and after going to my GS's footy match it was home to relax for the rest of the day.





My DD quilted her quilt sew now it only needs binding. I had better hurry and get my done too..

Maybe on Friday night as it is FNSI with Heidi and Bobbi…

FnWFs and some lovely Surprises

Last night it was FnWF’s and it is always nice to stitch along with Cheryll and all the ladies.
I completed a North Pole Block



and worked on this quilt top





I would love to get this it finished quickly to give to a beautiful lady who has Muscular Dystrophy and has now been diagnosed with cancer so she can take it with her when she has treatment.

I didn't do as well as my DD who joined in last night. You can see what she achieved HERE.

Yesterday I received a parcel in the post…

As I was sitting here do this post my DH returned from getting the paper with these……..


I think he is a keeper….LOL..
