No Flowers

this week but I did manage to start on my stepping stones….



for the past week I have been busy with family, going swimming.

Having coffee, scones and





SPIDERS for the kids…

and even some Archery



camping at the beach…



watching the beautiful sunset..




and sewing too…



tomorrow I am off to the big smoke to take the GC
back home. Sew will be able to do FNwF with my DD.

FNSI X 2 …….

My DD was here for FNSI and after she sorted out her tub of fabrics started to cut out and put together a Scrappy Chevron Quilt top…






While I sandwiched and pinned my “I Spy” quilt…






and then managed to quilt and complete … A very productive night for both of us…




We decided to continue sewing along for FNSI with our friends from the Northern hemisphere on Saturday night too.



DD finished putting her “Scrappy Chevron” together while I sat did some stitching and played on her  iPad.

OFW, which colour and my Nice Mail

this week I decided to count my Fussy Hexies, there are 64, and decide on a colour for my stepping stones… 



these are the three I have tried but can’t decide which one to use…

    White????

Pale blue??




I like the darker blue fleck best? Which one do you think??
Of course I did stitch another one this week to add to the rest .Sew now that makes 65…




there was another lovely squishy in the post for me…

In my reading list on Blogger yesterday I had received many UNWANTED posts from a person I am NOT following. I spent many  hours trying to delete these with no success. Can anyone help PLEASE…….

Busy Day

Early this morning my friend and I went for a  walk to the point, then a dip in the sea and brekky at the cafe.





 Afterwards it was time to clean out my spare rooms as it has been many months since the rooms have been used. I seamed to use them both as a bumping ground for all sorts of things.. Even found tins of paint in there…
Must say they look better now ready for my visitors..





One day I will get round to making a quilt for the big bed. This one is my caravan quilt and a bit small.…

When I was cleaning up the cave to make my UFO list I came across some 6 1/2” blocks which I received in a “Block Swap” I was in a few years ago.. Put them into four sets of twelve popped a bone fabric border in between and around them and now have a nice flimsy..



Needs sandwiching and quilting and popped in the post..

My online Scquilters Group is having a “Rotation Swap Block” and I was also able to put my together tonight…



My theme is the beach and sea.. I do hope someone will stitch on a lighthouse, beach houses, surf boards, bright coloured beach huts, towels , beach umbrellas and shells etc.… I won’t know until the end of the year when my block will be returned…..
