January’s FNSI

Last night I participated in FNSI. It is such a fun way to get your projects organised and sit and sew with all my other sewing friends.
Some time ago I promised CHeRyLl I would make some “ Blankets of Love”
I was really pleased to get these made.





Also was able to make a few QAYG blocks for Jan.
Check out both blogs of the ladies to see the work they do for charity.









Can’t believe I have done three post in two days and I only have to do two more to reach 200.

Second Week.

Week two has been just as busy as the first one.

We have been to the Drive In, Movies, swimming  playing games and DD2 has done plenty of sewing.

DD2’s last  UFO and the BABY QUILT she cut out, pieced and then quilted. 






      I think we have another Quilter in the making here too.

Oh I did make  SOMETHING.


A “  MUG RUG “ for one of our swimming ladies.

The family left this morning and it is very quiet around here. I will have to get into the sewing room and organise a project for tonights FNSI to keep me busy.

Nice Mail

Some weeks ago I made this  Wonky House block to
participate in  Beth's neighbourhood swap. I was not lucky enough to be one of the winners.
So Beth sent us a small house block as a reminder of the swap.

 and I have made myself a  pincushion.

Week One of the Family Visit.

While my DD2 and GD have been here this week the temp has been  around the 40 deg Celsius. We have been here twice a day.
Mornings for kids swimming lessons.
  We hop in to keep cool while waiting. Then in the afternoon we all go for a swim again.

During the day we have keep busy playing board games. 







DD2 brought along many UFO’s and has been really
good and completed this “Rashie”
 
 


I just love this bag.
 Wonder if I can hide it so it stays here when she goes home. LOL

Fun Filled Days.

The last few days have been busy and fun.
Each morning I go for a walk along the beach to the point after wards I go for a dip. It makes for a great start to my day.

Friday I managed to finish my three smallest UFO projects.
 
But not without a  hiccup!!
Stitched the two placemats together.Grrrrr! Don’t you hate that!!


Received a lovely belated Christmas gift from Sunny.

Saturday I met my Red Hatter Friends here for
lunch. Afterwards we went to one of our members  wedding.

I was disappointed that I forgot my camera. May get some photos later to post from folk who were there snapping.

Sundays our small group that bob go for breakfast.It was just gorgeous sitting under the tree enjoying our meal and good company.

Now I am sitting here in the cool( it is nearly 40 deg Celsius outside) doing this post and waiting for my DD2 and GC to arrive from Perth. Luckily their car has Air Con.

So I have joined Dawn and Wendy at” Sew It's Finished “ and hopefully I will turn my unfinished projects into FINISHES

I am also signing up with Peg and Kris at  OPAM at the end of the month.



       A secret I can only show you later but it is important I get it done soon.

Made the Mug Blocks four years ago. Turned them into placemats but never finished the last two.




     Oh! this is a Mug Rug that was to be a Christmas gift.

As the last two are the smallest UFO’s I will tackle them now.
