FnwFs for August..

Last night I joined  Cheryll and 22 other others for FnwFs ... I decided to work on my blocks...

First was Block No 10.............

next No 11

and  No 12 of the Snapshots QAL.......Now that all the blocks are completed I need to choose fabrics to join them and finish the quilt......







Also made Block 49 for the Splendid Sampler....

BUT Block 50 is waiting for me to do !!

Afterwards it was back to doing some more quilting on Nature's Journey....

Thank you Cheryll for a productive evening of sewing.. Will pop over HERE in the next few days to see what others have done...

OPAM finishes for July..

Earlier this month I downloaded the "Windy Farm" blocks from Antonie Alexander's book "Happy Quilts".. I spend days putting them together, making the Pinwheels for the borders and then it was time to quilt it.....

I meandered around all the animals and little people...

free motioned around all the eyes because that is safer for little ones....

It was tricky doing the tiny chooks and piglets ones...

but I was delighted to have it done and I love it.....

Tired a few different places to take the photo and Lacy decided to photobomb it...



Last month I joined Sheila for another Postcard Swap... My partner was Linda from SCRAPMASTER...

Linda makes the most amazing quilts sew I was a little worried but I remembered she loved Salvages and of course sewing so this is the Postcard I made and sent to her in Canada....

Linda emailed me to say it arrived sew I could post it . I was pleased she was happy...


If you read the previous post you'll know I was playing with some fabrics I brought home from my DDs.a few weeks ago..

Today I turned it into a cute little Quilt of Love...

and decided to also make a boys one....

That makes four finishes for this month and I would like to thank Peg and Kris for once again organising us for OPAM  this month. It does keep me on track...

A bit of this and that !!!

Just can't seam to settle on finishing a project, as you can see my poor cutting table is in a mess.

I have been working on my "Chateau Hexagon" BOM by Lynette Anderson.

Only two more blocks and then I need to put it together BUT I have misplaced the instructions...  Sew now I am not sure how big I need to cut the pieces for the border ??????


Then when I went into the cupboard looking for fabrics for SS Block 48 I can across a nice pile of fabrics that hopped into my bag when I left DD's home last time I visited... Oh and a tin of HST.....


Sew I've been playing ....

I think these will make a sweet "Quilt of Love"





Not sure what to do with the HST Chevrons ????  It's 14 1/2" square....

Here are the last few SS Blocks...

as you can see I did source fabrics and finish No 48... It's the bottom right one...

Must do a post tomorrow for OPAM as this month has disappeared again......

Going out to do some weeding while the sun is shining....

Opening Day....

Last month I joined the Tuesday Girls for Clayton's Christmas Swap  and Shez was to send to me and Jo was my partner. (Will show you want I sent her later after Jo's post....)

Shez's beautifully wrapped parcel arrived last week but I had to wait till today to open it....

Look at my gorgeous gifts.. A Lovely Handmade Ornie, Pretty Pink Christmas fabric , Organic Chocolate  ( I have never seen or tasted that sew will be interesting to try.)

and the Cutest Reindeer Buttons.........

Blocks and a Start for FNSI....

Always enjoy joining Wendy and the ladies for FNSI and I was able to make two more Splendid Sampler blocks...

and make a start on quilting Natures Journey...

I stitched around the centre ,under the peeper, and shadow quilted along the diamonds now I don't know what to do next ???? any ideas !!!

 Today I spend a fun filled day at Patch with the ladies and special friend Jan M from Pinjarra....

Flip Flops or Thongs ??

Whatever we call them I loved making the Bonus Block for The Splendid Sampler designed by Jacquelynne.

It has been freezing here sew making this block warmed me a little. :)

The yellow dots reminds of the beach sand and the Thongs ( I'm an Aussie ) of warmer days...

Nice Mail and FNSI......

I was delighted today to receive my No Fuss Swap parcel "Clayton's Christmas" from my partner Shez..

Couldn't resist opening the parcel

and look at the pretty wrapped gift inside... Now I have to wait for 7 sleeps before I can open it...

Don't forget ladies to pop over to Wendy's to sign up for this month's FNSI... It is a great way to get some stitching done with our cyber friends and go and visit them to see what everyone made...
