FIRST I had to mend Hubby's favorite Flag Quilt.
This was the last one and then off to bed.
Saturday.
Today was a busy day having morning coffee with my dear friend and then off to Croquet in the afternoon , dinner and dishes
but this evening I wanted to get the last four blocks of the Sew-A-Long done and I was really annoyed when I realised what I'd done AGAIN
more unpicking and re sewing I was determined to do the last four blocks so I could post them.
Finally ...........
Thank you Wendy for getting us together for another great night.
Look forward to seeing what others did tomorrow HERE
I must away and go to bed....
Happy Stitching ,
Hugs Maria ❤
The blocks are pretty Maria. So frustrating when things get sewn on the wrong way. I did that recently on a block then wondered why it look strange. lol
ReplyDeleteAAArgh... those are the kind of blocks it is easy to get the wrong way around....they are looking great. I'm sure hubby is pleased to have that bit of mending done.... great that the quilt is so well loved...

You obviously had it in your mind that you had all the pieces the right way round as you pieced those blocks. Such a shame, unpicking is not fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat would we do without our unpickers. Very frustrating but worth the effort and time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a busy time but your four blocks all look lovely. xx
ReplyDeleteYour blocks turned out beautifully, Maria. I love the colourway you've chosen. Also enjoyed seeing your purples in the last post. Happy Stitching!
ReplyDeleteOoohhh nooooo. It’s no fun having a date with Jack
ReplyDeleteLove the colours you are using for the Socialite blocks. It is always a pain when bits won't behave and have to be unpicked, but it is better to find them when they are just blocks, and not when you are doing the quilting!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks and I am glad you got them the right way in the end! Hugs Christine xx
ReplyDeletenice blocks so worth the effort......
ReplyDeleteSo annoying when blocks refuse to co-operate...worth it in the end, they are nice...
ReplyDeleteJust as well you realised the boo boos now, rather than when you were putting the top together. I bet hubby was pleased to have his quilt repaired.
