FnwFs for Feb...

After a quick trip to the big smoke on Thursday we returned home at 7pm yesterday and it was HOT. 44 deg cel
First thing we did was crank up the Air Con and when it cooled down enough I joined Cheryll and friends for FnwFs.

Only managed to stitch the chimmey before I was too tired and went to bed.

So this morning after my dip I made this month's Aussie Hero Blocks

Thanks Cheryll for once again organising us for FnwFs and you can see what others did HERE

Must away now and put on the kettle.

Hugs  Maria ❤

  5. Our top temperature yesterday was 13. No summer in this corner of the country, it seems. Not that I want 40 degrees, you are welcome to keep that over in WA!

  7. That is a terribly hot day for you. :( It was 38/9 here Friday. I can deal with those temps normally but when the humidity is high all a person can do is sit in front of the fan & hope the day is over quickly. :) Great progress on your cross stitch.

  10. Hand work is not ideal when it is stinking hot, but you still made some progress. The quilt block is really effective.

  12. The cross stitching is like a jigsaw puzzle, the picture grows little by little. - We had -15C two nights ago, this morning only -2 and now plus degrees.

  14. I had to smile when reading the 44 C above as last week we had almost that temp below freezing! Luckily that didn't last long. Meanwhile, steady progress on your beautiful house and your block too. Slow stitching is so soothing.

  15. Don't like the sound of 44, and we are expecting 40 this week, so I'll probably wilt

  16. Hi, this is Sandra, for some reason it wants me to comment anonymously. I love your cross stitch. I love houses especially old ones. That one is a beauty! I'm in the U.S. so we are still in Winter although I live in the South and the flowers are starting to bloom. I am just getting back into quilting and yours is stunning! I do XS also. Have a great week and stay cool!
