the right fabric for the project I'm working and then this happened.
so after a few hours of sorting the fabrics into colours and then filling the scrap box to the top I finally DID find a fabric I could use for the next block for my new project...
The green ,what do you think??
Must away now and may even go to bed early for a change..
Perfect green. Hmm i was a bit like that myself last couple of days. I decide rather than buy fabric for one of the projects in my last post i'd use the fabrics from a kit i bought on a destash site & decided i didn't want to make in the end. Then it was a search for a big enough piece for sashings. Yay for using stash rather than buying lol
"Shopping" in your own stash is so rewarding. I can see now why you can show new finished projects almost every week: you have both fabric and ideas, and you can work hard. (I seem to have only the fabric!)
I've finally sat down at my desktop computer, so can put a comment on your blog. Isn't it great when you get things sorted, especially when you didn't expect to be doing it. You'll be extra productive now.
Yes, that green is perfect. Must be something in the air, I ended up having a sort out and a tidy up too.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing what is achieved and found while doing a "fabric hunt" .

ReplyDeleteLooks good Maria, bit like my place at the moment trying to find the 'right' colour for the quilt kits.
ReplyDeleteHaha, happens to us all but will save you time in the long run. Pretty green for your project. xx

ReplyDeleteThe comment was published as anonymous but from Diane The Cheshire quilter! Lol
ReplyDeleteYou have a great eye for putting fabrics together. Is that a Bottle brush plant in your header? Whatever it is, I love it and your header.
