Churn Dash Update.

Last Saturday my friend Jeanie and I went a drive to Mingenew  (a 90km round trip) to pick up my SAL Churn Dash quilt from the longarm quilter...

I would have liked to have used the brown the same as the sashing for the binding but didn't have enough. After going through my box of fabrics there was nothing suitable there either so decided to use the backing fabric as I had plenty of that....

Just need to put the label in the bottom left hand corner on the back and finish sewing on the binding... Should be done in time for Chooky's Churn Dash SAL deadline the end of October...

Must away now and do some sewing...

Happy Stitching and stay safe.

Hugs  Maria ❤

  3. Exciting that your Churn dash quilt is quilted - and bound (or nearly bound!) Good idea to use the backing for the binding. I'm looking forward to seeing a photo of the whole quilt.

  11. Well done for being ahead of schedule, might have to give my quilter the hurry up to get mine finished as the month's are disappearing so fast.

  12. How wonderful that your churn dash quilt is already quilted. Congrats!
I think the fabric you used for binding looks great. So often it happens to me that the fabric I really want to use (for binding or some other part of a quilt) I don't have enough of and have to substitute. You made a good choice.
