I would have liked to have used the brown the same as the sashing for the binding but didn't have enough. After going through my box of fabrics there was nothing suitable there either so decided to use the backing fabric as I had plenty of that....
Just need to put the label in the bottom left hand corner on the back and finish sewing on the binding... Should be done in time for Chooky's Churn Dash SAL deadline the end of October...

Must away now and do some sewing...
Happy Stitching and stay safe.

Looking forward to seeing the end result. I often use backing fabric as the binding.

ReplyDeleteExciting that your Churn dash quilt is quilted - and bound (or nearly bound!) Good idea to use the backing for the binding. I'm looking forward to seeing a photo of the whole quilt.

ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that your churn dash quilt is already quilted. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteI think the fabric you used for binding looks great. So often it happens to me that the fabric I really want to use (for binding or some other part of a quilt) I don't have enough of and have to substitute. You made a good choice.
Your quilt is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYour doing great Maria.... Probably finished by now...
