Catching up and FNSI

Since my last post two weeks ago I have been busy quilting and in between made some small projects.

A set of place mats and coasters for the van....

also another bookmark
and yesterday I had an early start to join the lovely Wendy and friends for FNSI. and I finally sewed  the binding for on      "URBAN OWLS"

I sew most of my bindings on by machine so back first and then pin ready to sew on the front . I didn't realise I'd been attacked by the pins until I saw blood spots as I sewed...

Thankfully the old spit thing worked and all spots removed ...

and finally I have
FINISHED "URBAN OWLS "
label and all.
It was a marathon....... I started this quilt when were in lock down way back in March 2020. using favorite fabrics stored in my cupboard for many years waiting for the right project......

As it was still early I cleaned the machine popped in a new needle and cut out some of the pieces needed for the "Double Wedding Ring " quilt  made with templates. It is a Patch club project which we'll be doing at our "Stay at Home Retreat " next weekend.

Must away as it's time for bed.

Keep safe and well and hope you have time to stitch.

Hugs Maria  ❤

  13. I know you were pretty much “over” Urban Owls” at times, but good on you for sticking with it. The end product is absolutely stunning. Even more so, when made from stash. Have fun with your new start. It’s always exciting to begin something fresh.
