We've had some beautiful chilly sunny mornings
so it's been nice to be in my warm Cave and sew .....making shields for "Days for Girls"
and after all the wadding sewing the machine needed a good clean. a little oil and a new needle.
Okay must away and start packing my box for the weekend before anymore sewing..
Take care all and stay well
Yep, mine is also very messy when I get around to it. When I turn the machine on I just want to sew not spend an hour cleaning. Well done to you.
ReplyDeleteVery cold here too, am tucked up by the fire tonight
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your at home retreat - you are right - wadding makes such a mess.
ReplyDeletePretty bindings for those quilts--and I have finally written on my calendar to clean my machine every 4-5 months-- and it's so much better than trying to remember--when--did I do it last time--!!!
ReplyDeletekeep warm--luv, di
It is amazing how a quick clean and some oil makes such a difference! Enjoy your retreat. xx
ReplyDeleteCleaning the machine is a bit like changing the blade on a rotary cutter....for the little time that it takes but what a difference in their performance. Enjoy your Stay at Home retreat.
ReplyDeleteIt's always good to have the bindings ready to go. And you reminded me, I must drop my machine off for its annual service, now would because goid time as I'm in "recovery mode" from my surgery.
ReplyDeleteIt's always a gOOd idea to keep our sewing friend clean and running smoothly...
ReplyDeleteEnJoY the upcoming SAHretreat...xox
My machine looked like that recently too. Have fun with your QAYG. Your machine will need another clean out at the end of the weekend.
ReplyDeleteGreat sewing Maria and well done on the clean, I keep putting it off 🤔

The shields look so nice and will be greatly appreciated. It looks like the machine is all ready for the stay at home retreat! I do love how they run after a good clean out.
