I do really enjoy our Patch Groups "Stay at Home Retreats" We arrive on Friday afternoon set up our machines etc , have a chat to ladies and then sew. I made myself a new microwave bowl holder before our dinner arrived.
My DD1 asked if I could make her a new bag for her to take to "Bingo" .....
I had the perfect Fat 1/4 in my stash...
Got it cut out and ready to sew before going home.. after having brekky at I arrived back to the hall around 9am and sewed the "Bingo"bag first in between morning tea and lunch..
I'm happy with the finish and hope my DD1 will be too....Will pop in the post tomorrow...Next I started sewing the QAYG Blocks for Jan from Oz Comfort Quilts until dinner arrived ,time goes by so quickly as Sue, the lady who does the catering, seems to keep arriving with our lovely morning teas, lunches and dinners...Did I say I love these weekends ...
No cooking and we are all on a roster and have turns clearing the tables , filling the dishwasher and keeping the urn filled.....and home to bed....
Back Sunday and I got the binding onto this quilt...
next some of the ladies and I got this quilt sandwiched and pinned . It is now ready to be quilted now , think I'll just do some FM stippling...
I am pleased with what I got done and had a fabulous weekend....
Must away now and pop on the kettle.
Happy stitching and stay well,
Hugs Maria ❤
