FnwFs and the week that was.....

It was really nice to join Cheryll for FnwFs this last night and enjoy sewing along with her and 20 others....

I got my " Sisters" pinned which is my WOOFA project also organised Cheryll

then after dinner I made my RSC blocks....

Today I did some repairs on hubby's " Aussie Flag" quilt as it's his favorite....

Earlier in the week I made some blocks for " Aussie Heros "

and Burp clothes to send to Jan Mac

Did you know that a ruler can be NASTY !!!!

When I bent down to turn on my iron I bumped the edge of the ruler which was on the cutting table and it fell down onto my hand.....

thankfully it's all healed now.....

Well must away now and tidy the "Cave"

Happy Stitching and stay safe...

Hugs  Maria ❤

  2. Your hand looks like it hurts, a lot! Beautiful projects, once again, and I look forward to seeing the sisters quilt finished. I have some quilts to mend too, I think five on my list. It is good to see they are being used a lot!

  3. Ouch! That is a nasty ruler! I hope you didn't bleed on any fabric. LOL! I haven't had any sewing injuries for awhile. Although I tripped over a bag handle the other day. I was able to catch myself before I did any damage. Would love to see a video of my moves.

  4. Ouch with the ruler - glad it's healed but isn't it odd how the strangest things can injure us - like paper too! Good to see your sisters out and pinned, that will be a gorgeous quilt. How nice that hubby loves his quilt so much that it's got to the repair stage! A nice little pile of other sewing and block making too.

  5. Hi Maria---
Nice projects you are working on there! I really like those sisters blocks--
and I have discovered that all 'sewing and quilting' tools can be dangerous--especially in my hands!!! Glad to know it healed up quickly!
    Have fun stitching this week-
    stay safe-luv, di

  15. Ouch! I thought rotary cutters were the most dangerous tool. When my rulers fall, they usually dent the floor, but that it better than your poor hand! Lots of great progress. Lovely yellow blocks

  21. You’ve been very busy with all your lovely projects. You have to be careful of those nasty rulers. If that’s what they can inflict, you’d better be very careful with your rotary cutter. 🤣🤣

  23. Ouch! That looks like a nasty injury. I have dropped one and it make a nice ding in my wood floor, so I can imagine it could do serious injury to skin. Your RSC blocks look so nice. Great job on the burp cloths and your sisters quilt too.
