FNSI for February 2021

For some time I just haven't felt like sewing sew when Fiona from BubzRugz invited me to sew along with her and friends ( virtually  ) on Thursday I got organised and started to quilt my "Sisters" ...

Then on Friday it was time to join Wendy and 27 others for FNSI , and I'm happy to say with the help of my friends the 'Sisters" are now quilted...

Just stippled around the white and shadow quilted the Sisters with a Heart in the center.

Now I just need to choose a binding .. Which one do you think ????

Later in the evening when I was digging in the cupboard for another project and this fell out. The ribbing from the bottom of one of hubby's windcheaters, ( don't ask why it was cut off as I don't remember) but for ages I've wanted a cover for my steering wheel. I have bought a few and none suited,

The ribbing made a perfect cover and after hand stitching it on today fits nicely......

Well I must away and see what others have been up to for FNSI...

Happy stitching and keep well..

Hugs  Maria ❤

  1. Well done! I vote for the first binding fabric, but it is hard to be sure which one matches the colours best just from a photo.

  7. I'm late, but I'd vote for the brightest binding. Well done on the steering wheel cover. My new car, a Toyota also! has a heated steering wheel. I guess you don't have much need for that. LOL! Glad you enjoyed a day of stitching.

  9. Well done on finding your MOJO again, and nice to get a finish or two. The steering wheel cover is a good idea, mine was a tad too hot to hold the other day.

  14. I would probably go with the top binding, you have strong colours in your quilt, so I think it needs a strong binding. But only you will know - it is your quilt :-)

  15. That’s a nice finish for your Sister’s quilt. I really like the idea of a heart. Brilliant idea for your steering wheel too. I can remember having a leather wrap that had to be stitched on years ago.
