Community Sewing

When a lady left town a few months ago she donated tubs of fabrics to our Patch Group. Last Saturday we all got together for a Community Sewing day...

Some of us spend time cutting out quilt patterns. while others sewed and did the ironing...






















such a fun day and we managed to get lots of flimsys made......

Jo made a baby play mat....





Over the weekend I managed to get my quilt together, sandwiched and pinned.



It is now under the machine being quilted.....

We will now have a lovely pile of quilts to donate thanks to the lady's kind donation ...

    You really achieved a lot working together like that. Someone else's fabrics let your imagination fly freely and you see all kinds of possibilities where the owner might see just dull fabrics.

    A very generous lady and wouldn't she be pleased with the results, I love all of them, but I particularly like the playmat and Jan's 'flimsy' but that's because it's blue, may favourite to quilt with. A very productive day had by all :)
