When a lady left town a few months ago she donated tubs of fabrics to our Patch Group. Last Saturday we all got together for a Community Sewing day...
Some of us spend time cutting out quilt patterns. while others sewed and did the ironing...
such a fun day and we managed to get lots of flimsys made......
Teena's "I Spy"
Lee's top
Baby panel, two more on left , Jan's flimsy on the floor and the one I was working on to the left on the table.....
Jo made a baby play mat....
Over the weekend I managed to get my quilt together, sandwiched and pinned.
It is now under the machine being quilted.....
We will now have a lovely pile of quilts to donate thanks to the lady's kind donation ...
Happy Stitching
Hugz Maria :)
Bless that Lady and Bless everyone in your group who put that gift to good use--

What a fantastic way to spend a day! And I always enjoy playing with some else's fabric.
ReplyDeleteYou really achieved a lot working together like that. Someone else's fabrics let your imagination fly freely and you see all kinds of possibilities where the owner might see just dull fabrics.
ReplyDeleteIt makes fun with many women together for a caritative project to sew.

ReplyDeleteA very generous lady and wouldn't she be pleased with the results, I love all of them, but I particularly like the playmat and Jan's 'flimsy' but that's because it's blue, may favourite to quilt with. A very productive day had by all :)
