BUT I got side tracked and joined some wadding together
and started quilting "Fernhill" by Lynette Anderson.
and I kept going till it was completely finished at 1.30 am....
Love the border fabric. I bought it some time ago for a swap project for my friend Christine and then saved the remainder for this wall hang.
Just perfect don't you think ?
Yesterday afternoon I called into Patch and the ladies where cutting up some donated fabrics for community quilts sew I took a pile home and cut one out.....
Now I am ready for our big sewing day planned for August...
Hope you all had a great evening of stitching with Wendy and 20 other lovely ladies...
I'll enjoy visiting them HERE to see what you've all been doing...
Happy Stitching
Hugz Maria:)

Fernhill looks lovely, even if the colours are a bit off. Great finish. xx
ReplyDeleteYou did get a lot done in that sewing session. Thst fabric was perfect as the border for your wall hanging. If it was me, I probably would have put it away to yse and then forgotten where I put it. Lol
ReplyDeleteI love the way you got side tracked!!! No giving up either even though it was 1.30am...champion quilter. You have made such beautiful quilts and I love the monsters. They remind me of Heather the feather. lol
ReplyDeleteWoohoo Well done on your Fernhill finish Maria - it's gorgeous! I agree, perfect border fabric too. A good project to get sidetracked on - Monsters will be there waiting for you another day :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are definitely on a roll. Nothing like being sidetracked.
ReplyDeleteYour Fernhill is just wonderful - true colors or not! The borer fabric is perfect for it. I love the little monster quilt too.
ReplyDeleteYour little monster quilt is so stinking cute! One of my favorite things is sewing batting together - I can just sew as fast as possible. No need to worry about it as it will be inside the quilt. LOL Yes that border is perfect and I love the Fernhill quilt. I wish I could stay up late and finish a project but I start making too many mistakes. Wonderful quilt!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely finish - and I'm sure you're not alone in keeping going til 1.30am getting a project finished! Interested to see your charity project; it looks like great material x
ReplyDeleteThe border fabric is perfect. So looking forward to seeing your monsters quilted.
ReplyDeleteFernhill is gorgeous. You should be very pleased with it. Good luck on getting back on track with Monsters
