Fun Week....

On Sunday my DD arrived to attend Lynette Anderson's Stitch the Day Away in Geraldton on Tuesday..  Sew we had a few days to go for lovely longggg walks along South Beach, swim and enjoy a coffee at the Seaside cafe...

Then Tuesday morning we got up early, had breakfast popped our baskets in the car and drove to Geraldton for the fun filled day with Lynette and the Quilt Sherpa

After we received our "goodie bag" it was time to get started..

there was a fabulous 'Scissors Keep' , a Charm Square Pack of Stonehouse Garden fabrics, A lanyard and thread keeper ,both with our names on and a sweet tape measure..

It was a wonderful day and Lynette was a great teacher and we learnt to use some
fabulous new tools making needle turn sew much easier

then it was time to start ...

iron on the transfer,

as well as chatting

and drawing

We were asked to stitch a little design by Lynette and make a pin cushion we could swap on the day...

It was lovely to see sew many different pin cushions and I was happy to have received the one my DD made...

of course there was Show and Tell and I was pleased I remembered to take along my "Chateau Hexagon" BOM...

I am now busy working on Fernhill,  have Anderson's Farm also waiting to be stitched BUT while Lynette was in Geraldton I have now signed up for "Seaside Town"

It's one I JUST have to make.....

Thank you Lynette and Quilt Sherpa for a memorable day.. Also for some of the photos from your Facebook..

Oh I must close now as I need to get ready for our Patches Stay At Home Retreat......

Happy Stitching

Hugz Maria :)

I can see why you have to make Seaside Town. It looks like it is going to be cute.

  15. Maria, I've LOVED seeing all these great pics - what a great idea with the pincushions! Your beach pics always look great... my beach is very windy & weedy at the moment with the nasty winds blowing straight in off the ocean. But I do like to go there anyway for a walk & to do some thinking.
