After two days of over 40 Deg Celsius - 109 .4 Fah...

you can see why I spent most of the past two days locked inside with the Air Con on...
nice to just sit and sew..

I did some more appliqueing on the "Bluebird of Hope " blocks ( shown in previous post.)

and made the first set of  Patchwork QAL Blocks organised by Fat Quarter Shop.

I wasn't going to join another SAL this year but after reading about Jenny's  idea of donating the money for the blocks to our Aussie " Make -A-Wish Foundation" decided that was a great idea...

First FNSI for 2017

I always enjoy sewing along with Wendy for FNSI and I made an early start today by firstly tiding up the Cave..
I came across three small projects I decided to make first ...

The sweet "Key Ring" I have had for years and don't know why I didn't finish it sooner....

Last "Patch" retreat in August we all received a Little kit to make while there..

It was quick and easy not sure why it took me 5 months...... did misplace the original buttons but I like these as they come out of my Mums fly button tin...LOL

Some time ago I joined a pile of HSTs and then it was put aside...

I found a lovely backing  and have finished the Tiny "Blanket of Love."

then after dinner I started work on cutting out the applique pieces for these....

can you see the date on the patterns.....2009.....

I am determined to make up the blocks I have left and join them into a quilt THIS YEAR !!!

Library Bags

While visiting the Great Grandies I read on their book list they needed a Library Bag each sew I asked them what colour would they like me to make each of them..... ( hard to believe the little ones are off to kindy.)

Alexis requested Purple, Pink and Violet....

these are the fabrics I found in my stash....   hope they'er okay !!!

                                                                                           

                                

Mia was easy as she loves Red.....

FnWFs

I didn't get much done this month as we had a new arrival in the family last Thursday

                                                   Great grandson No 2 "little Peter Jesse"


               And also my DD2 and GD2 are here spending the weekend from the big smoke.

Sew I only got as far as looking at my stitchery and thinking about some secret sewing I need to do..

Off now for a nice walk along the beach and coffee ☕️ with my DD and GD.
