sewing going on here... Seam to have lost my Mojo after sewing every spare minute to get the quilt in previous post done..
Have been busy clean up after some big winds. One of the our huge Gum trees fell down on top of my Moreton Bay and broke it in two. I have grown it from a tiny little plant I found growing in a crack along our main street called Moreton Terrace..
I do hope it will shoot again at the top.
Also I did a bit of baking which is very unusual for me, really don't like cooking at all..
Banana Muffins
Fruit Cake.
Today I saw that Fiona from BugzRugz has joined a Christmas Challenge organised by Joy sew I thought I'd join in and finish my only Christmas UFO..
You can go over HERE and join in too.
Okay I am off to start sewing these blocks together
Happy Stitching
Hugz Maria :)

Wow Mum you can never say you don't keep yourself busy!!
ReplyDeleteYou still found your way back to the cave.
Wow cleaning up the trees is a pain. Those muffins look yummy. Happy stitching.
ReplyDeleteso sorry about the tree! what a mess. the muffins do look good. a miracle since not much looks appetizing to me these days!
ReplyDeleteI'll have a banana muffin please! Sorry to hear about your tree. Our neighbors killed a small tree of ours several years ago. So sad. I forgot about Joy's challenge. I better get busy!!!
ReplyDeleteAwww...what a shame! I hope it grows back again. Those must have been strong winds.
ReplyDeleteThe baking sounds delicious.
Have fun with the sewing.
I am late for the coloring group downstairs--but blog friends come first!!!!
ReplyDeletesorry about the tree--
and I need to look into Joy's challenge--
love and laughter, di
what a pity about the tree - strong winds to blow that down..... sometimes we just need to take a break and do something else... the challenge might wake mojo up!! glad we are sewing together
ReplyDeleteHugz
The baking looks yummy
ReplyDeleteLuckily the tree did l on any buildings. Always disappointing to see trees come down
O, I am so very sorry about your lovely little tree - after all that love and consideration put into it. I Hate it when things like that happen. It is funny how your Mojo can get sidetracked after a busy spell. It's like all of your spirit ran out temporarily -then you have to find a way to engage it once again. I think that's just part of the process . After I had shared some cooking experiences with a young friend over the summer she had said, Boy, you must love to cook - to which I replied - I HATE to cook - but I just love to eat????? LOL
ReplyDeleteAww - poor tree. I do hope it continues to grow and looks even better. I don't blame you for taking a break after completing that beautiful quilt in record time. However, I bet you get this Christmas quilt completed pretty quick once you start on it, as those fabrics are so pretty and lively and Christmasy.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, lots of trees been coming down in our area too, including one in on top of our back fence... Glad you're joining in on the challenge! Can't wait to see it finished! xx
ReplyDeleteSad about your lovely tree. I hope it does reshoot for you. Good work on your ufo. I think sometimes we get a bit lacking in motivation.....best to relax and let it pass xx
ReplyDeleteYou may have lost your mojo and might not cook very often but from what I can see - your baking products look delicious and I am sure your mojo will kick back in soon...xx
