DD and I spent 6 fabulous days in Melbourne sew there there was a pile of laundry to do
While in Melbourne DD and I enjoyed many delicious meals,
had lunch on the Restaurant Tram,
meet some lovely blogging friends Christine from MacDonald's Patch and Helen from Patchwork Passion at AQC
loved the Royal Exhibition Building both inside
and out
there were many fantastic quilts on display but will only show you a few favourites.
"Stevie" was huge, 6 meters long, and amazing.....
DD spent some time chatting to Susan Carlson who told her "Stevie" hangs in her studio when not on show... WOW! how big is her studio??
Susan was happy to poise with Stevie for us...thank you..
"Dutch Treat"
A very challenging reverse applique.. Some blogging ladies are going to make it. Have fun and enjoy...
Great colours....
sew many
talented
ladies..
the Comedy Festival was on sew DD and I went along and enjoyed a fun evening out..
had delicious morning tea at The Block Arcade
bought chocolate
Lucky we did LOTS of walking
because we found another yummy place called "Burnettie's
Just soooooo many delicious treats..........
and the coffee was nice too..
DD is in an re-enactment group and her DH and her are going to England for the Battle of Hastings later this year so she needed to buy some leather to make bags,
she was gobsmacked at the wholesale leather place we went too.But we were very disappointed as we couldn't find anywhere in Melbourne that sold pure wool fabrics even though we went to many different fabrics stores .......
Oh! I did purchase some goodies while at AQC....
now off to bed,
Happy Stitching..
Hugz Maria :)
